During our stay in Salou, we hired bikes from Drac's beach hire, and cycled along the seafront to Cambrils. A very beautiful area, such stunning scenery on this beach and all others that run along this coast. Great afternoon.

Parc Samà is a big park located in the surroundings of Cambrils, a coastal town in Tarragona Province, in the South of Catalonia. It was built at the end of the 19th Century in a Romantic-style by a indian (people, who gained a lot of money in America and return to the mainland). It is a very relaxing place to walk and see some birds or deers (very nice to come with children). Also, there is a very nice lake built in a grotesque-style. Very curious to see it here. Better come in spring.

If this is the one near the market the service was good and the person serving was very pleasant, good value for money.

We were staying in a hotel looking over La Llosa beach and spent half a day on it building sand castles with our daughter. Very safe and clean and the promenade is spotless.

    Enjoy

Very interesting place. Tons of facts one wouldn't think of. We spent there about 2 hours and it was definitely worth it on a rainy day.

A 17th Century tower which was built to fight off pirates and defend the local area. Lovely, well preserved little tower, which had a textile art exhibition inside when I visited, and great views of Cambrils from the top.

Pleasant stroll out to sea with the port of Cambrils in the background. The pier leading to the lighthouse a bit serviceable and sterile though there were information boards along the way

This large pine tree situated on the Cambrils promenade has a continuous bench circling the trunk. It’s an ideal place to sit in the shade or even shelter on a rainy day. Nearby litter bins make it an ideal place for a picnic.

Made a particular trip to walk here. Wasn't clear if I could go in and wasn't well signed. Seemed a nice bit of history.

We walked from Cambrils to Salou and back. It’s about four miles between the two towns, so an eight mile round trip. Away from the road, there is a flat, wide, pedestrian path and a separate cycle path following the coast. Picturesque walk with cafes and bars along the route so you can stop for refreshments.

I’m not one for looking at places of worship but this church, in the centre, stands impressively. There’s a presence about it.

I had been planning to check this out for several days, not straightforward to track down directly as I think some of the signs are more designed for cars than those on foot. Anyway - when I got there i realised I had already passed the top end of the site by accident a few days before and without any signs spelling out what it was - I had assumed it was a derelict building site. You have to arrive at the right point to see the signs telling you what it is. Shut when I got there - so didn't see the virtual experience. Nice they are preserving this bit of history - but could do better to make the most of it
