This is an iconic bridge landmark of Rishikesh. The original bridge is shut down while a new one is under construction. The best shops and restaurants are on both sides of the bridge. I crossed over on the boat service that operates only during the day. You must visit the area.

This hanging bridge is the first you encounter upon entering Rishikesh. Unlike the closed Laxman Jhula, this bridge, along with Ram Jhula, remains operational. The structure comprises three lanes: the central lane is designated for pedestrians, while the outer lanes accommodate two-wheelers.
Notably, this bridge is broader compared to the other two hanging bridges in Rishikesh. On the opposite side of the bridge, the right path leads to the Beatles Ashram, known as Chaurasi Kutia, and on the left side are various ashrams, ghats, and the route to Ram Jhula. This area is renowned for its spiritual significance and serene surroundings along the Ganges River.

when I visited this, Laxman Jhula was under construction so drivers would drop you here and you cross Janki Jhula, explore all the ashrams, and come back vis Ram Jhula.

Janki Setu, named after Goddess Sita (Janki) was a modern marvel that blended harmoniously with its divine setting, The bridge featured intricate paintings and statues that showcased the rich Hindu mythology.

The Janaki Setu under construction in the Ganges between Kailash Gate and Ved Niketan will be the first three-lane bridge in Uttarakhand. A foot lane will be built on both sides of this bridge, with one lane coming in and the other going. Whereas, in the middle part there will be space for two-wheelers and carts. However, this bridge is being built with a load capacity suitable for four-wheelers.

This bridge is built on the Ganges River and has a length of 274 meters.
