I did the Chopta trek with Naranzi, he was great guide and I loved the experience! The first 2 days of trekking is the best and not crowded at all! The views were stunning.

We had lots of fun and Naranzi always smiles and supports you throughout the trek with great mood and and also food, haha!

Take comfi boots (I didn't :D) and you will have a great time! Food was great all way long and the team of Mapping the Himalayas are all amazing people! Thank you all again! Also memorable drive from Rishikesh and back accompanied with great music!

Would recommend to everyone! also thanks for sorting all the transport for me, much appreciate it!

Tour company was very personable and helpful. Car was very comfortable with a safe driver throughout the tour. In Rishikesh, we did the trek with a local guide and enjoyed the nature and the villages on the hilltop. The views were beautiful!!! Wish we had more time to spend in he Himalayas, we never wanted to come back to the mundane city. The tour is well worth your time!

Haridwar is hot in days during April and bit colder during nights. You can get so many trains from Delhi, har ki pauri is very closed to haridwar railway station and you can easily reach by e-rickshaw by just 20 rs/person. If in case you won't get direct train and you plan suddenly. You can have connecting trains via delhi to laksar by ktw-anvt express departing from anand vihar terminal at 21:45 and reach laksar by 01:41 am next day. From laksar there are many trains to haridwar. Ganga aarti in night is awesome you can enjoy. Not many places to visit nearby, you can easily reach rishikesh by trains from haridwar or by auto. Ram jhula & janki setu are the famous spots to visit.
Punjabi dhaba in front of railway station is having very nice food, jain chat corner is only hype don't go there.

Great experience. I hired a driver from DEL and made the whole trip pretty easy. Didn’t spend a lot of time in Rishikesh (4-5 hours) but Haridwar was a real experience. I stayed in a really nice hotel right on the river and doing the 2 local trams to see the temples was great. The evening prayer was the highlight. Quite an experience.

Our private tour from Delhi to Rishikesh was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, everything was well-organized and exceeded our expectations.

    Transportation and Guide:
The journey from Delhi to Rishikesh was comfortable and seamless. Our driver was punctual, courteous, and drove safely throughout the trip. Our guide in Rishikesh was knowledgeable and passionate about the city’s history, culture, and spirituality. He made sure we saw all the important sights and shared fascinating stories along the way.

    Highlights of the Tour:
We began our exploration with a visit to the iconic Laxman Jhula, an impressive suspension bridge over the Ganges River. The views from here were breathtaking, and our guide explained the significance of this spiritual landmark. We then proceeded to explore the lively markets and quaint cafes nearby, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of Rishikesh.

    Spiritual Retreat:
A visit to the Parmarth Niketan Ashram was a serene experience. We participated in the evening Ganga Aarti, a mesmerizing ritual of worship by the riverbank. The chants, the lamps, and the ambiance created an unforgettable spiritual moment that touched our hearts deeply.

    Adventure and Nature:
For those seeking adventure, Rishikesh offers thrilling opportunities for white-water rafting on the Ganges. Even though we didn’t participate this time, we could see the excitement of others enjoying this exhilarating activity.

I contacted Sachin from INDIA TREKKING AND TOURS to arrange Trip for my family to Kunjapuri temple to Neer waterfall trek . I found them Via tripadvisor and I have short listed them because most of the reviews seem genuine and generally positive.

With help of India trekking tours our tour went very well and got successfully completed. We highly recommend this company for any trip and trek in India.

The short summary is - I recommend this excursion. The sunrise from the Kunjapuri Temple was beautiful and the trek down was really enjoyable. Selesh (I hope I spelled that correctly) was a great guide and we really enjoyed our time with him. We had a great, easy conversation as we hiked down the hillside.

Things to know: In looking at the various excursions, it can get very confusing which excursions offers what, what they don’t offer, what are the differences, etc.. So hopefully this helps: You will be picked up at (or near) your hotel and driven to the Kunjapuri Temple. The drive is about 30-45 minutes. After watching the sunrise, you’ll grab a quick breakfast from a vendor near the temple. You’ll then hike down the mountain for about 2 - 2 1/2 hrs into Tapovan. We stopped by the Secret Waterfall (not so secret) and then went to a nearby watering hole. We soaked there for a bit and then finished the trek. In our case, the path went right by our hotel, so we finished at that point. If you don’t happen to be staying near the end point, you’ll be offered a ride back to your hotel.

A couple of notes, this is not a private trip, so unless you have a large group, you may have a few others with you. In my case, it was my partner and myself, and one solo traveler from Germany. The path down isn’t difficult, but you really need some experience hiking in the wilderness. In spots the trail can be steep and covered with lose rocks (scree). That said, you don’t need trek poles and can easy just walk down. The reason I mention this is that your group’s speed will be gated by the slowest hiker. If you’re someone who likes to hike quickly and cover lots of ground, you may have to adjust your expectations if one of the other party members isn’t a fast hiker.

All that said, we really enjoyed our trip and I have no reservations in recommending this trip.
