A must see for every Memphis visit. The history and stories that have been told in that space through music left a permanent mark on anyone who has listened to or played rock n roll. Our guide, Drew was passionate about telling the story of Sun Studio and his enthusiasm was palpable.

This visit was worth coming to the USA for. It was both gutting and insightful, explained a lot about the US. An outstanding museum. Visitors should prepare to be moved, wrenched by emotion, and unable to forget. Strongly recommended for everyone, probably most especially US citizens.

JOHN BEACH!!! This guy made the VIP tour worth much more than the money I paid for me & my family to tour Graceland. His knowledge is mind blowing. His charisma, sense of humor & passion for what he does is second to none. This was our first trip to see where the King lived. Because of John, it won’t be our last. My family and I still believe John actually knew Elvis & had had a personal relationship in some way with him. Knowing everything that John knew, he had to have known him on a personal level. I mean, John has ridden in the 1974 International Scout on numerous occaisions!

Long live the King! And thank you John for making this a trip my family will never forget!

I was blown away by this museum! It was well put together. I was familiar with Stax records but I had no idea of the history and the part it played in the music industry. The self-guided Started with a great video about the Stax story. If you are a fan of music you must visit this museum. This visit left a strong lasting impression.

Pro tip- go right after going in the entrance. Much more to see on that side of the zoo.
Good keeper chats! Aquarium is almost non existent- not worth the short walk down to it/ as it’s basically a few tanks of fish - almost like a pet store. The Egyptian theme is carried throughout and the zoo has extremely well done decor / architecture. Lots of elephants and big cats. The panda was not there when we went so the China area wasn’t worth walking through.

This is a must-do if you love rock and soul music and want to learn more about its history. The museum is well organized in its presentation. There is an introductory video and then you proceed through the museum's various rooms while using a audio headset. Unlike some museum audio headset systems, this one actually works very well. You really get to understand how and why Memphis became a hotbed of rock and soul music. Highly recommended for music fans.

What a fascinating historic story behind these beautiful animals. Would advise you get there early if you want a good view as it was really busy and did involve a long time standing around.

Today 1/20/24 at 2pm we were going to go see this historic place although we couldn't attend as the building is on fire. We are hopeful that many of the items were able to be saved but this is scary for all of them.
May the owners and city of Memphis still support this great historical time of American history!

Beale Street is a whole vibe. Closed to motor traffic you can wander down the street and find just about what ever you want. Food. Drinks. Music. Souvenirs. Interesting Characters. Old Timey Soda Shop. Definitely worth a stop.

Beautiful stadium, almost a mini Busch stadium. Crowd was a bit down for a weekday game, but still a fun environment & nice place for a stadium in the heart of the city just a couple blocks from Beale St

If you are anywhere near Beale Street you need to visit this hidden gem. It just reopened its doors. I have never seen such intricate carvings in my life.
