What travellers are saying
- Thomas VOakland, CA17,560 contributionsThis is the cool part of town and we kept coming back here on our city visit. Lots of places to eat here, emphasis on breweries, craft beer. Some pleasant architecture, lots of good shopping. And lots of coffee.Written 30 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EscapeRoomJunkyWestern Springs, IL1,191 contributionsWe decided last minute, to see the "Mid Summer's night dream" at this theatre. You can get drinks before or during intermission. They can provide you a plastic cup to take into the theatre. The performance was wonderful. We had a great time. It was reasonable priced, and we had great seats.Written 27 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- luvthecarribean!Saint Cloud, MN270 contributionsYep, it’s a bookstore. And more. It has Portland souvenirs, puzzles, games etc. many displays that show popular books in different genres, staff picks, Powell’s picks, classics etc. There are used books and books on sale. 3 levels. I am a book lover (but I’m talking Libby not actual books) but I went here just because it’s in Portland’s tourist list. I ended up staying here quite a long time. Got so many ideas for books to read. Great, exhaustive book store. Highly highly recommending you are a reader.Written 17 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Nicks JEdinburgh, UK46 contributionsIt feels strange rating and reviewing a museum like this, but it really was absolutely fascinating. I particularly liked the Rembrandt exhibition. The section on the Holocaust is very well done and isn’t overwhelming, as is the section on genocide and human rights.
My only disappointment was that while the origins of the term genocide were explored, there was no mention of Hersch Lauterpacht, who also came from Lviv, and who coined the phrase ‘Crimes against humanity’.Written 2 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's a double decker bridge with cycles/pedestrians on the lower level and cars on the upper one. We drove twice across it.
It's a draw bridge with two independent lifts on its pillars. Best seen from the promenade beneath.Written 31 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Excellent unusual works. Don't miss this. Free; donation suggested.Written 22 January 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SasPDXBeaverton, OR163 contributionsDid not know this nice little park was right in Pearl District on Lovejoy. Nice place to bring kids and let them romp. A small waterfall adds to the beauty. What brought me here was a Coraline cat.Written 22 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- misopiso88Seattle, WA24,967 contributionsMy daughter and I were walking around the Pearl District at night and had to stop to admire the lighting display at night in front of Elizabeth Leach Gallery. Very cool! Want to go back during the day and check out the exhibits!Written 18 May 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LeilehuaOahu, HI66 contributionsThis is a nice park. I like how the designers incorporated the history of the area into the themes of the park, with reedy grasses resembling a marsh, historic rail tracks and flowing water. It is not especially "pretty," but it is unique and interesting. We spent most of our time on the terraced platforms along the rail wall, which is a special highlight of this small park. It's not a "must-see" for tourists, but a nice respite from the busy city.Written 17 August 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - adalbert3Newport Beach, CA5,008 contributionsNice place for a quiet stroll or a location for some relaxed reading. This tree covered slice of Portland borders the art museum and is close to the Concert Hall. There are statues of Teddy Roosevelt, Rough Rider and Abraham Lincoln. In addition, one can take in the "Brushstrokes" sculpture by Roy Lichtenstein outside the art museum as you walk through the trees. The First Congregational Church borders the park---it has interesting architecture. It was very quiet and empty the Sunday afternoon when I visited---which made it all the more attractive.Written 11 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chase H1 contributionUnqiue and cozy retail store fitting within the heart of downtown Portland. A lot of fun spinning the shoe rack wheels. Really engaging and fun spot for little kids to be entertained while I was able to get a comfortable pair of shoes. - minimize940314Los Angeles, CA3,547 contributionsLovejoy is one of the founding people of the city of Portland. I suppose this column is to commemorate his devotion to the city. Located in Pearl District, and it is outside, so you should be able to spot this easily.Written 2 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The vendors are more than willing to talk to you about their art and their creative methods. Friendly local people. Sustainability methods are obvious to most. Enjoyable afternoon. Vendors are both indoors and outside. Masks are required.Written 3 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
