What travellers are saying
- Andrew T290 contributionsThis is an incredibly beautiful forest to walk around in. If you have the time you can easily spend the whole day there. Lots of undulation so if that’s a difficulty walking need to be considerate of that. But the walking trails are really well paved. Overall rating 9.7Written 16 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RevathiSan Ramon, CA345 contributionsThe trail goes through a beautiful, green forest with amazing views of nature and the city. There are some moderate inclines, and it can get muddy during the rainy season, it’s advisable to check weather before going. Overall, it's perfect for a peaceful and scenic hike.Written 13 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - garyd22557Chagrin Falls, OH25 contributionsBeautiful hike through this butte. It can be a bit confusing as the interior trial maps don't show much of the butte. If you don't want to explore and possibly lose where you are, you should either get a map or take a picture at any of the trail heads. At the top there is a mountain/butte finder pointing out and giving some brief information of the buttes and mountains that can be seen. Check out the visitors center where it shows the various sized pipes that take water throughout Portland.Written 8 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Laura PVancouver, WA605 contributionsGreat venue for our dog. Would be nice if there was water for both humans and dogs. Also poop bags would be helpful.Written 5 June 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- bretzelpdxPortland, OR49 contributionsThe forty-mile loop is full of gaps. While the ride is beautiful, several portions include high traffic/ low visibility streets that make the ride difficult. However, the completed portions of the trail offer a great ride. The Springwater and Marine Drive portions are especially stunning. The St. John's bridge is terrifying but worth every second of it. You'll be proud you've ridden your bicycle over it.Written 21 June 2008This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Glen B2 contributionsWe wanted to do the 4T today. We parked at the zoo and paid for the day and set out. We soon discovered what is cited elsewhere, that the Marquam Trail from the south side of Highway 26 to Patton Road is closed. It was a beautiful day, so to salvage the attempt, we got an Uber to take us from the zoo to Hilltop Chevron. Basically, just around the closure, but it's a significant detour. Also be aware that the tram requires tickets in both directions, and does not sell one-way tickets. So if you take the tram one-way, you will have to pay for a round trip ticket. This was an unfortunate surprise partway into the 4T trail.Written 19 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
