She is very personable and took the time to get to know each of the people on the tour. She also provided great recommendations based on each one’s needs and wants for the rest of their visit. The spots on the beach are more dense than I thought, so we didn't spent much time hopping between places. - Taylor J9 contributionsI went solo on this trip and it was awesome. My tour guide Chuck was very knowledgeable and animated. He clearly loves his job. The bus is comfortable with large windows to view the scenery. There is plenty of time at each of the stops to take photos. We stopped in hood river and our tour guide made multiple suggestions for lunch and we had enough time to eat and enjoy our food/drinks. Good town for lunch stop with many reasonable dining options. The pace of the tour was just right, never feeling rushed or needing more time. Our tour had only four people which meant little time spent boarding and un-boarding the van. - emma2walterBoston, MA5 contributionsA Wonderful Half Day trip! Around Portland was super to get to from my hotel. Sara (our tour leader) was super nice and knowledgeable about the local geology and history of the area. I was worried about this tour being difficult due to the hiking and biking aspects but it was surprisingly easy! This tour is definitely doable for almost everyone. You do not need to be an avid cyclist or hiker. You do not need to be in amazing shape. We took many stops and weren't really hiking or biking for more than 15-20mins at a time. I went by myself and highly recommend any solo travelers to do the same. My sister and I both have mobility issues Phil made sure we were OK, slowed the pace when needed. My only regret was not choosing a longer flight! JP was a fabulous pilot and guide, he was very friendly and knowledgeable.
