What travellers are saying
- Julie P1 contributionFinding a private Sushi class mid week in Portland is a challenge and Chef Steven came thru in amazing fashion! We had a group of 16 people, two tables of eight.
One table made rolls and the other sashimi. The quality of product and instruction was bar none! Chef has traveled the world and experienced so many cuisines and is so engaging, our team had the best night and would highly recommend Chef Steven for any group, cuisine and class.Written 23 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We went as part of a Forktown Food Tour, the people working there were really friendly and helpful. We learned a lot and went back after the tour and bought a bag full of salts and chocolates.Written 19 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Liz DPortland, Oregon16 contributionsI took my niece as a birthday gift. It was fun and informational. It is a bit too expensive for the time and information we received. However, we had a great time together and that was our objective.Written 15 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jerrid S3 contributionsSherri has done a great job at selecting some great eats for the tour. I know a little bit more about the history of places we went to and some general history of Portland too. I really enjoyed myself and I would go back to each spot to try more of what they have to offer. Also, I highly recommend the food tour.Written 22 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Carolyn O1 contributionThis tour was incredible! Nic was a wonderful host and great driver out to the coast. This tour is well worth the money: we got to see and taste at a seaweed farm, visited a fresh crabbing restaurant and then ended at an oyster bar where we could shuck our own oysters. We had a great time with the other folks on the tour and would HIGHLY reccomend this tour.Written 19 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kristie R1 contributionI highly recommend booking a tour with Katy at Scissortail Wine Tours!! Katy has many years of experience in the wine industry, which means she can share a lot of fantastic information throughout the day. She is fun, knowledgeable, and will take you to all of the cool spots in wine country. She will ask you some pre-tour questions which will help her customize the tour to you and your friends. It truly makes a difference in your tour experience with this company vs others.Written 18 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kathleen B1 contributionPaul Beck is the most knowledgeable, professional and charming wine concierge in the Willamette Valley. His tour of the Dundee Hills AVA was an absolute delight. The quality of wine, the endless vineyard views from hilltop wineries and the camaraderie Paul has developed with local vintners and owners makes this area of the Willamette Valley a truly special experience. A friend's family winery, Winter' Hill, was one of the highlights. The tour over 2 days with lunch and a driver was customized to include unique wineries such as Arlyn, a truly impressive biodynamic and regenerative farm. It was obvious Paul is highly respected as a wine professional. Paul was a delightful guide and companion and I look forward to my next trip to the Willamette Valley.Written 15 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
