- Bryan HPortland, OR1,637 contributionsCame here on a Friday afternoon at around 3:30 pm. We stayed for about a hour and a half, and it never got crazy busy. There's indoor and outdoor seating, and we chose indoor for more privacy. (Everyone gravitated outside in the few remaining good days of summer weather, it seems.) Our server was hilarious and wonderful ... the wine quite good, and the cheese plates, although tasty, were mysterious. I couldn't tell from the description what it was that I would end up getting -- and was totally surprised by what I got. I'm not sure how to fix that. Maybe better descriptions? I usually have a pretty good idea what it is that will arrive at our table. Would I go back again? For sure! Maybe when the weather gets cold and I want to meet someone for a cozy glass of red wine.Written 7 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tonya CBend, OR86 contributionsThe owner was very knowledgeable and even though she was busy with receiving and ordering and bookings, she took the Time to chat w us. My husband tried the flight of rose's. He likes one. I did the white flight - I enjoyed the Savignon Blanc. I didn't do the reds as the non-pinots were from out of state (I'm not a Pinot noir fan in general) which is interesting given the name of the store. I asked why and she didn't feel any but maybe Cowhorn had quality enough reds in the state. I would disagree. I also recommended she try Schmidt family wines. Hopefully she will sample more from the red varietals next fine some up to her standard. There are some small cold plates to accompany the wine but since we were heading toward. Meal we skipped.Written 9 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Expat655Moscow, Moscow City, Russia58 contributionsWish I could give six stars! We stopped by for a quick tasting and ended up staying a while. The tastings were catered to our individual preferences and all our many questions patiently answered. The Pinot noir was amazing - they have 4 different ones to try as well as white, rose and sparkling. Shame it was our last night. You can also buy bottles to take away at a discount.Written 27 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rhoscoOkotoks, Canada5 contributionsMy daughter & I traveled to Portland for a quick mother daughter trip. We decided to go to Hip Chicks because we loved the name. We sampled a lovely flight of wines hosted by Renee. We were fortunate enough to be the only people there at the time so we enjoyed a private tasting & learned a lot about the wines they produce & why they produce certain varietals. We also learned a lot about Portland & area. Thank you for being such an incredible hostess.

You get three Pinot Nior's to blend together. You get a tasting glass and a pipette to measure out the wine proportions. We had a great time. We ended up like the one that that the wine maker had chose best, and we didn't guess right, but we had a great time trying. We then stuck around and tried a few more. I loved the white Pinot Nior. Very friendly server! Beautiful setting. We shipped a bunch of wine home.Written 27 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Janetharsha22 contributionsBoedecker is an outstanding urban winery with a beautiful tasting area. Owners Stewart and Athena are two of the most knowledgeable and friendly winemakers in Oregon. The wines are great and reasonably priced. - Helen TPully, Switzerland26 contributionsMy husband and I had an excellent wine tasting adventure at TeSoAria. I had the red flight which consisted of 6 generous pours of TeSoAria Vineyard's wine. For me, I enjoyed a change of pace from pinot noir reds and TeSoAria did not disappoint! From the first pour of Dolcetto to the last of an old vine Zinfandel, I was hooked on John Olson's wines. The Bull's Blood Reserve was my partner in crime's (husband of 35 years) favorite pour. We also shared a delightful cheese plate which included lovely pairing of cheese with jams and nuts. The service was enthusiastic and friendly . . . both the proprietor, John Olson and his dog, Bella were present to roundout a tip top experience. Thank you!Written 18 July 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kurt SSeattle, WA7 contributionsHad a great experience tasting and sampling from the cheese plate. If I had to do it again, I'd skip the non-pinot noir tasting list and stick to the good stuff. Very engaging staff and wonderful atmosphere.Written 10 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mcgrath3 contributionsI ordered and paid for an aged Port from their website. L&E confirmed the order by email. Two days later they emailed to say the price of the wine had increased by over $100, but they could let me have it for just $40 extra. I was shocked and declined. I asked them to honor the price at which I’d ordered and they had confirmed. No dice, but “sorry for the inconvenience.” It’s not like they were sold out of the wine. They had it, just wanted $40 more for it. Really bad.Written 5 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Vicky TCoeur d'Alene, ID86 contributionsA friend reserved a wine tasting in Portland while we were visiting. Nice pours, and Colleen was flexible with what we could taste as we all liked different types of wine. Provided crackers. cheese. nuts and hummus. Spent a good hour and half.Written 20 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- 888travelertIndianapolis, IN152 contributionsWe took three three tours with America's Hub. In fact, when they had to reschedule a coastal tour they provided us with a private downtown tour. All three tours - half day downtown Portland, half day Multnomah Falls and Columbia River Gorge, and full day coastal tour far exceeded our expectations. Phil was our tour guide for the two half day tours and Carrie was our tour guide for the full day coastal tour - they were both very knowledgeable, and offered lots of great tips on restaurants, and scenic hot spots, I would highly recommend all three of these tours,Written 12 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
