We had a great time walking around and looking at the local artist’s work. I even got a cool bracelet! I saw some reviews saying it was in a bad area. We felt unsafe. We parked in a parking garage about 2 blocks away for only $3.

Happened to be on campus for a conference. This market is right in the m8ddle of campus on a big open greenway. There had to be over a hundred vendors. Lots of local fresh food. A few vendors with non-food items. It was pretty crowded so clearly a popular market. I would recommend it if you are anywhere close.

We found this enjoyable. Fresh fruit (wonderful cherries), flowers, sauces, soaps… hundreds of stalls with items made with TLC. Hot food too to grab a bite and listen to music. Worth checking out.

I loved the river here so beautiful. Just walking around taking pics was fun. Just dont leave valuables in your car. Lots of break ins. I feel like more so if you have out of state plates and at a tourist spot

Yep, it’s a bookstore. And more. It has Portland souvenirs, puzzles, games etc. many displays that show popular books in different genres, staff picks, Powell’s picks, classics etc. There are used books and books on sale. 3 levels. I am a book lover (but I’m talking Libby not actual books) but I went here just because it’s in Portland’s tourist list. I ended up staying here quite a long time. Got so many ideas for books to read. Great, exhaustive book store. Highly highly recommending you are a reader.

This was one of the things that came up on the “things to see in Portland” list we saw before traveling. It’s a fun spot to go to if you’re in the city. It’s pretty small so I’m not sure if it’s necessarily worth $10, but I enjoyed it. There are fun things to look at, as well as the gift shop.

Hot tip: if you go into the “museum” there is a bathroom, which is pretty scarce in Portland

This is a mall in the downtown area. It seems to have been spared a lot of the things you see in other building which I assume was from the riots. Downtown is a little rugged but this mall is nice.

I am so glad that I found my way to Monticello Antiques on a recent trip to Portland. It is so well curated and the items in each stall are a joy to look at. I was able to find two small treasures that could fit in my carry-on suitcase. If I visit again, I will bring an empty suitcase to fill!!
I used public transportation and this shop is on a convenient bus route.

Went to see Robert Frank's "street photos." Limited showing: They will be shredded soon. Also saw some of his cinematography. Excellent unusual works. Don't miss this. Free; donation suggested.

Two locations in Sellwood right across from each other. Lots of selection of clothing, antiques and great furniture and unique gift items. We love it at Christmas and never leave without buying something. Great reward program too.

So it is a lovely outlet store with wool material and clothing. There is no tour to take here. The goods are made very well and staff is helpful.

I've been to a lot of immersive experiences around the country, and was excited to check this one out when I was in Portland. It's set up differently from others- where the rooms are all linked to a common hallway that you can walk back and forth in- which made it nice if a particular room was busy- you could come back to it later. My favorite part was the immersive trampoline room- be sure to bring socks for that one!

The ball pit room was kind of a nightmare- too many children sprawled underneath the balls- it felt like a dangerous situation. As an adult with no kids- I wish there had been a time slot to come for 18+ or something (perhaps there is and I didn't research it well enough?)

The secret garden room is a lot less fun than it sounds...perhaps not a good spot for the kids depending on what secrets are being revealed.

It's a great spot for to get that Instagram-worthy photo or to just play and have fun.

To be honest, I've only gone to the supermarket and Meianna bakery. There are many other shops here like a hair salon, clothing, and other restaurants. The supermarket is large and probably one of the cleaner Asian markets. You can probably find any Asian items that you're looking for here. The location is nice if you want or need to go to other Asian establishments on this side of town and easy to get to from I-205. Meianna bakery has good egg custard tarts which is the only thing I buy here because the other pastries and breads are not what I'm looking for. Prices at both places are very reasonable.

I can’t say enough good things about this fascinating little museum. Despite its location in a bit of a sketchy neighborhood, it is a must see in Portland. Curated in a unique and artful fashion (the short film shown at the beginning of the permanent collection is a marvel), it tells the history of Chinese immigrants in the Northwest in a compelling and engaging way.
