- lost_bobcatNewberg, OR554 contributionsLake is settled against big mountains on one side, about a 5 mile long lake.
Good fishing, gets busy in the summer.Written 3 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - plaidbagelWalla Walla, WA997 contributionsMy friend and I recently stayed here for a night. It happened to be a night that was rainy, windy and even a little snow, but even tho the hot tubs were outdoors it still was enjoyable and worth the time we spent together.
Pros:
• The service was friendly and informative.
• The food in the restaurant and great. We had the meatballs, a wrap and especially the queso chorizo with chips were yummo!
• The breakfast was suitable and did offer several dairy and gluten free options: coffee w/ almond milk, hard boiled eggs, granola bars, oatmeal, oranges and apples. For non-gluten free they also had a variety of bagels. A tray to carry the items would have been great.
• We had a room that actually was two separate rooms with a bed in each, so we could be together but also as friends have our private space.
• We only had the share a hot tub once during our stay. Mostly everyone spaced out.
Cons:
• Our room only had a bathtub (we knew from our confirmation email) but at least there was a hallway bathroom with a shower
• The beds were quite firm, as were the pillows. Not the most comfortable.
• I wish that the restaurant had some dessert options.
• The movie only plays once a night, so you either go or you don’t. Luckily, it was not a movie I was interested in.
• You hear every person walking down the hall, every creak in the floor, every time the train goes by. Not a quiet, restful night’s sleep.Written 14 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I have visited his shop several times and am greeted with a cheerful welcome and it is always a delight to talk to him about his treasures. You will find items from the 19th century and into the mid 20th century. Do not forget to look above at all the beautiful paintings and artwork hanging high on the ceilings. If you are looking for something in particular just ask and he may have it stored away somewhere. It is a clean organized shop with every item in good shape. You will not find "flea market" junk here. It is a stop well worth the stop.Written 29 May 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HawaiianShirtsSalem, OR79 contributionsMy family and I stopped for about an hour to take a break from driving on our cross-state road trip. This was a great place to go wading on a hot summer day. The water in the creek was shallow and cool. The rocks were a bit slippery due to the algae, but we didn't mind that at all. Just a bit of bushwhacking required to get from the parking area to the water's edge.
Need a break? Have kids who like to play in water? Stop here!Written 24 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We went to the Art Center which had excellent displays of some local artists. It is worth visiting.Written 21 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KT K1 contributionBeautiful lake and quiet campground but not well maintained at all. So much trash esp in the fire rings which seem to be a replacement for the trash cans that all conveniently placed at each campsite. So disappointed that visitors are so lazy about picking up after themselves. Cigarette butts and broken glass all over the place. The camp “host” does little to maintain the situation and has an RV surrounded by piles of junk at the entrance to the park which sends a trashy vibe to the whole place. It’s a pity since it’s a lovely spot. It deserves more love and respect!Written 15 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lagodegypsyoregon35 contributionsThis store is very eclectic. It has a great selection of costume jewelry, historic photos, vintage textiles, etc. It also has a huge selection of new knives by famous makers and collectible knives and the owner will profesionally sharpen yours for a very reasonable price. And, unlike a lot of other stores, the prices are very reasonable.Written 17 November 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sena RVancouver, WA6 contributionsWhat a fun experience for my kids! We had a great time!
It was $8 each, kids under 5 free. We got to stay for 2 movies for that price. They have a snack shack, prices varied from $5 for candy to $9 for extra large popcorn, they also had soda.
There was a restroom onsite.
You use your radio, channel 103.7 FM for audio. My car is a newer model so it kept shutting off to try and save the battery, so I ended up just letting it run.Written 30 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
