We had a great time driving along the Waterfall Corridor on the Fourth of July weekend. It wasn't even that crowded given the holiday. All the waterfalls were beautiful and so much fun to just stop and hike around.

While Vista House could use some attention, it does provide a stunning place to view the Columbia River Gorge. The Vista House is staffed with volunteers that can provide helpful information about the area. It has a coffee shop and a ift shop. There are historical photos lining the walls though you can see water damage and the need for repairs. It is a beautifully designed building that Roadside America calls the Statue of Liberty of the West though it is more of a metaphor as greeting place from west like the SOL greets visitors in the east. Some would say it is mainly an expensive rest stop along the Columbia River highway. It does have accessible rest rooms, but it is the views that will keep you coming back.

This waterfall is ideal for a quick stop as the waterfall is very close to the parking lot. The waterfall is not as big as multnomah, but it still drapes beautifully.

This a Columbia Gorge highlight to which we always take visitors. Best parts are architecture, history and, of course the view. But I want to especially point out the coffee shop; it has the best mocha that I have found in the Portland area.

Very nice trails, easy walk and very scenic. Only problem is (not so much the nudity) is that you might stumble across a guy giving himself a rub & tug, twice I've stumbled across that (YUCK). Just wanted to walk on the trail not seeing some guy tugging away. Overall I like the park didn't enjoy the side show.

Guy W. Talbot State Park is based in Corbett, Oregon, and it leads to Latourell Creek and the magnificent Latourell Falls waterfall which has far more reviews on TripAdvisor. We went there on our first full day in the Pacific Northwest back in April 2023 and, despite the steady rain, had a wonderful time hiking the well-maintained trails and gawking at the eye-shuttering, ear-shattering flows of water. The environment here is gorgeous, and we, like so many others, took our time taking numerous photos, experiencing the drenching mist, and breathing oxygen-saturated air from moss-covered trees. There were numerous wooden bridges crossing the rapids, caves from which to admire the falls shooting just outside, basins of water where we wished we could swim (but didn’t dare for fear of instant death!), and a variety of falls (wide, narrow, straight, curvy, high) showing off nature’s glory. Cherry Wonderdog gives Guy Talbot State Park high marks – e.g, five stars – on the rating scale. It’s not to be missed.
