- Carlos V8 contributionsI favor informative trips and if the views are good is even better. This location has both. It is clearly made for visitors to be informed and have access to the varios parts of such a large facility. The fish steps, proximity to the fish hatchery, the locks, the power generation plant, the actual dam, and other outdoor oriented activities was great. It also does not require a lot of time to do.Written 8 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BrakiWorldTravelerBelgrade, Serbia19,452 contributionsDon't know why it's named Bridge of Gods, however it's a pleasant site looking from Cascade Locks. Bridge connects Oregon with Washington, but didn't cross it but had a lunch nearby.Written 31 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - kgilbert78Columbus, OH2,857 contributionsIt was really interesting to learn more about the native fish in this area. The one sturgeon was *huge*. Very informative signs.Written 18 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Eva TUnited Kingdom4,799 contributionsThe idea to visit this place came from my husband's cousin with who we travelled. Maybe you can see hatcheries around the world but this one is special as you can see sturgeons. Gosh we saw famous Herman which is over 80 years old and several younger sturgeons swimming together with trouts. There are several ponds dedicated to different ages of the fish. The whole area is very nice, trees have nest boxes and we saw good use of them by swallows. In the gift shop you can buy many nice items as well coffee and cakes. There is large car park and the entry is free. And there are also clean restrooms.Written 24 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ray R5 contributionsWhile working at a temporary hatchery job, I visited the gift shop at least once a day, mostly for their hot drinks. Angel and Lauralee were both very attentive and gracious hosts. They went far above the call of duty in helping me find gift items.
It is a joy to visit their store, and I am definitely returning. I like to be entertained, listening to someone describing the area or presenting facts, so this was a disappointment for me.
Other than that, my wife and I found the service to be excellent. A big Thank You to HANNAH for that. The meals were also excellent. The views of the Gorge from the river spectacular. And the ride was smooth. A nice way to spend an evening.Written 28 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We started the day catching smaller sturgeon until Jess and my son discussed the possibility of a much bigger challenge. A “Once in a lifetime catch!” Well, that’s exactly what happened! My husband, son and even me caught HUGE sturgeon. Mine was 8-9 feet long but my son and husbands’ fish were 9-10 feet!! It was phenomenal! The boat was VERY comfortable and clean. Jess knew exactly what to do and when. He was helpful and knowledgeable. We had to take the boat out and move to a different part of the river but Jess didn’t seem annoyed by that at all. We had a trip of a lifetime! I will NEVER FORGET IT!
Thanks Jess, you’re the best guide we’ve EVER had!!!!Written 20 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
