- CWLeeRenton, WA558 contributionsOur visit to the cathedral was for the high school commencement of our granddaughter. She was graduating from The Notre Dame Academy High School.
This is a beautiful church, well maintained and preserved and nearly 100 years old. The graduation ceremony included a full mass including the eucharist. - MidwestKathMDetroit, MI938 contributionsOn a recent daytrip to Toledo, we spent a bit of time walking through this historic neighborhood. Primary goal was to see the Libbey House, simply to learn more about the couple that established the Toledo Art Museum. I had no idea that the house was just a block from the main museum building! After seeing that house, we walked several more blocks to enjoy the diverse architecture of the area. At one house, the owners were out in front working on their landscaping, so we stopped to talk with them for a good 10 minutes and learned some additional history of their house and the neighborhood. Definitely worth a look-see on a nice day for walking. Also, if you want a high brow place to go, this is not for you. There are a lot of dining and drinking options here, and seemed to be a decent place to spend some social time. The seating is comfortable and the tickets are always reasonable priced. Most the other reviews nailed it on the head. But don't miss it around December. Hensville Lights are all that need to be said.
