We absolutely loved our day at Tapnell Farm Park during the summer. It has a great selection of indoor and outdoor activities so is good for any weather. The indoor animal area was full of cute animals and my step daughter got to hold a leaf insect when they got the creepy crawlies out. The pedal go karts were brilliant fun and we all spent time zooming around the track on them. The sledge slide was also very different! We also enjoyed visiting the wallabies. There was lots to see and do, with regular activities throughout the day. We got lunch from the Asian street food truck that was near the restaurant and was super yummy.

A lovely little place set in a beautiful location. They have a great collection of reptiles including snakes, geckos, terrapins, skinks etc. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Nice little find

We arrived at 1800hrs in the dark, and an extremely well lit harbour made our journey easy.
Lots of space and very good facilities with washrooms available, including a hot shower in the family room.
Extremely close to town which made buying fresh supplies easy.
Fresh water and electric points on the harbour. Secured entrance with security code.

Small, short, wooden pier, with great views of the village, the Solent, and the mainland. No rides, no arcades, no tackiness, no food, just a pleasant and relaxing walk, a few signs explaining its history, and (regulated?) fishing.

It is a bit dated but this is reflected in the entrance fee. My son who's 9 is really into his planets and all things space. He really enjoyed the visit Well worth the money. I wanted to try this out before taking him to the London Planetarium.

We did not expect to see a tidal mill on the languid creek, an arm of the river Yar. Now converted into an substantial dwelling with inevitably wonderful views. Built in the middle years of the Eighteenth century in red brick
Peaceful, almost pastoral scene, and if it was not for the hi tech yacht in the marina, it could be pre WW1. Sitting by the mill in the warm evening sun, was a very nice way to enjoy a evening walk.

This little corner of the world is so peaceful. Stand a while and breathe in the heady pine fragrance, catch the scamper of a red squirrel or look down over the sparkling sea with the bobbing boats. Nothing to do except enjoy it’s serenity.

I have visited Yarmouth twice within 2 weeks now and finally got the chance to wander around this attractive little port town.
Although small, it has a pier, a castle which was shut, and plenty of independence little shops.
It also has some historic watering holes and a few cafes, one good one being by the pier.
I visited the old railway station which has been lovingly restored to an excellent cafe called Off the rails which is situated on an old line which goes to Freshwater.
Overall plenty to do in the town of Yarmouth and the mainland is 35 minutes away by ferry.
    Visited 22nd January 2023.

I listed this walk a few weeks ago but sadly didvl not complete it!
Time was against me yesterday so I tried to get as much done as possible and ended up completing about half the 2 miles section.
I began at the Yarmouth old station and walked towards Freshwater and found this particular section quite wet and strangely busy too!
The line of track overlooks Yarmouth harbour and it has the added attraction of the beautifully restored Yarmouth Station which now serves as an excellent cafe which has the platform and the signal box.
It continues the theme indoors with plenty of yesteryear memorabilia.
An average walk made much nicer with the station!

The bottom was in terrible condition and we decided not to go as it was an unhygienic mess. Unfortunately, the bathrooms were very dirty and sometimes not cleaned properly.

Choose pick up Yarmouth or Newtown in the centre of the island. For usYarmouth tons better and avoids cycling along those narrow windy IOW hilly roads!

Suggest you phone in advance to book.

Friendly service, £45 pp for the day, extend it by taking coffee at the old station pick up spot. Then delivery cycling oaths down to the coast then west to the Needles.

So this was my first time ever shooting, once I got there I was quickly greeted and felt very welcomed by the friendly staff.

I started with the air rifle shooting for one hour as a warm up, aiming at static targets (SO FUN) , deffinately worth the extra £22 if you book a clay session. Or even on its own - super quiet and no recoil so excellent for kids/beginners.

Then went on to the main event, the clay pigeon shooting. Amazing coach who really knew her stuff and has a few competitions under her belt! Made sure it wasnt getting to easy and really kept it super challenging but also really fun!

I will definitely be returning to top targets and I strongly recommend everyone gives it a go!

Big thanks to the staff what an amazing day!

(I also one shooter of the day) which has really made my holiday!

    Ok but….

We went there in the back of what it was and now being owned by the Hut

Food not bad, staff very friendly but pizzas were overcooked, base and crust hard! Starters were good but, unfortunately not as good as it was, nor as good as the Hut
