This small church in a small village is an amazing find. The 12 stained glass windows by Marc Chagall are breathtaking. It was a moving but relaxing experience.
This is a lovely little wood, highly recommended for a short walk of party of a longer one. NB 1 dogs aren't allowed though we got away unscathed with our small, well behaved & on a lead dog. 2 the car park isn't always open though you can squeeze in by the side of the road ok.
Always a reliable favourite, and have visited many times. The menu is traditional with a twist - always something interesting and new to try and satisfies all palates. Our waiter was Oscar - big thumbs up to him as he was attentive without being overly so. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that it's on the expensive side.
I took my mother in law here from Australia, it did not disappoint, the age of the building held its own and the traditional roast dinner was amazing, I would definitely take friend and family there to impress
