What travellers are saying
- Malik Hassan3 contributionsFrom the massive dinosaur skeletons that made me feel like a kid again to the interactive exhibits that had me learning while having fun, this place had it all. The highlight for me was definitely the live animal displays – getting up close with some local critters was a wild experience! Plus, it's free admission, so you really can't beat that. Whether you're a science geek or just looking for a fun day out, this museum is a must-visit in Raleigh!Written 30 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 24lorraineSCary, NC721 contributionsWe went to see the new exhibit - To Take Shape and Meaning -highlighting Contemporary American Indian Art. It just opened and will be there until July 28. It is very worthwhile, informative and highlights amazing skills with ceramics, beadwork, weaving, etc. These are works created by 75 contemporary Indigenous artists from US and Canada. Definitely worth a visit!Written 1 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- CareOhLineWinston Salem, NC18 contributionsPulled truly is the Central Park of Raleigh. Great place to picnic, walk, run, go for a tiny train ride, carousel or go for a boat ride. The history of the park is captivating too including the old alligator put my friend now likes to roller blade at.Written 22 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Huey LRoanoke, VA104 contributionsMarbles is amazing! We went on a family trip with three toddlers. They all had a blast! It was pretty crowded, I think it was near their max capacity, and I'd love to go back when there's fewer people. Some of the kid visitors there were particularly rambunctious at the pirate ship play and sports areas, so it was a little difficult to explore with my toddler. But there were plenty of other areas for us to go to! I really appreciated the family bathrooms there where a mom and dad could do a diaper change or whatever is needed together. The gift shop had a lot of great toys for all ages. We'll definitely go back whenever we're in town!Written 9 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- FactotumDellaCittaLondon, UK3,878 contributionsThis was a large market with many different vendors of all kinds of foods, including prepared foods.Written 28 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Denise G3 contributionsWe went to see Toto and Journey. The venue is large, but there is not enough room between the rows to sit comfortably. My knees were digging in the back of the seat in front of me and I had to sit "stick straight". My boyfriend is tall and he had to sit with his legs spread wide apart just so he could sit in his seat. We spent more time standing up than we did sitting, so that we were more comfortable. We have been here before, and I don't remember it being that cramped. I don't know if other sections are spaced differently. We paid $40 to park, which is outrageous, and then had to walk half a mile to get to the door. On a whole, the venue is nice and offers many food and drink options, and the sound is terrific.Written 20 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SteelCity13Austin, TX921 contributionsGreat little park! Wonderful hiking. Very well kept trails with bridges and water features. The Mill was the highlight of the hike. So well kept. Very education. Quiet and beautiful place to be in nature that is close to the city and well preserved. A must if you are in the area. And this place would be great any season but with the color from the changing leaves it was even more special.Written 17 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Emily TTalent, OR53 contributionsIt’s a beautifully preserved site with a sprinkling of other buildings. Located in an easy spot, it’s a great place to take the family to learn a thing or two about the dark nature of this nations history.Written 22 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DRKCharleston, SC18 contributionsThis is a beautiful, natural garden. The focus is research-based education and gardening practices. If one wishes a perfectly hedged, manicured, aka butchered garden for only aesthetics, this is not the one. Immerse yourself, and watch the online education, Mark (Director) and team of horticulturists are brilliant, realistic, practical, and simply enjoyable to be a better educated gardener.Written 20 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - VirginiaLove2TravelVirginia Beach, VA480 contributionsStarted at the horseshoe farm nature preserve and we loved this trail. Some small little inclines but I thought they were doable. We only planned on riding for 2 hours as we were headed out to our next adventure. Do plan to go back and do more. It was about 92 degrees the day we rode. Lots of shaded areas but when in the sun, it was really hot so bring your hydration with you.Written 28 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
