What travellers are saying
- AbigailKingsport, TN13 contributionsA great time for nature lovers! You get to visit around 30 birds on a shaded walking trail. Do look at their website beforehand because the hours can be a bit odd depending on the time of year. The birds are excellently cared for and the Raptor center does a lot of rehabilitation + education work for these amazing creatures. We visited close to closing time so there were no shows/speaking events that we got to see but based on their social medias the interactive experiences with the birds ("fly-bys") look great. It was a super nice activity to wind down with.Written 1 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rannie BLewistown, PA8 contributionsAn experience of a lifetime. We went in and the lady at the desk was soooo nice. We looked around, and the kids were on cloud 9. Expepecally, the 7 year old who loves Kyle Busch. Yeah, we know he is no longer with JGR. But they still have some things from his time with them.Written 22 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RebaFort Mill, SC1 contributionFun time with many things for the children to do and experience! The website online membership purchase needs work but their customer support called me back and took care of my issue. We were able to go that day and had a great adventure together.Written 16 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BarbaraAndPaulNew Jersey128 contributionsVery quick & easy walk with an overlook of a lake. It's not paved but it was flat. There are trails that link to this trail.Written 7 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Tim D197 contributionsInteresting place to visit. Can do an outside self guided tour or, during certain hours, can tour the inside of the house for an extra fee.Written 28 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bowmanator22Charlotte, NC5,046 contributionsLots of lakeside trails, with minimal hills and scenic woodlands. While family loved the trip! Our favorite was the Cattail Trail.Written 19 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BluespickerKernersville, NC67 contributionsGreat place to go with a crowd of friends. We just walked around and drank their assortment of beers.Written 26 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- NCWFUcyclingVetHuntersville, NC388 contributionsThere are MANY events held at this site throughout the year. Among the best are the Scottish Highland Games and the Herding Dog Trials. Some events can be very crowded with some difficulties getting in and out and parking (Food Truck Rally). The key to having a good time is going at the right time and making sure that you aren't in a rush.Written 11 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gravel GertieCornelius, NC147 contributionsThis is a really nice park that has been nicely laid out with lots of things to do. - James S1 contributionI will start with the good. The performers/acts that we saw were awesome. The theming and quality of the festival were great. There were plenty of "Privies" but i believe all were portapotties (which is almost always an unpleasent experiance). Another issue is that in my estimation there were too many things that required extra fees. I felt like more activities should be included in cost of entry. Biggest problem was the crowds, it was wall to wall people through most of it, so much so that my wife was having a panic attack. Lines for food and ATM (most places didn't take credit) were crazy. The one easy fix, cut back the number of tickets sold per day by a quarter! They would make less money so it wont happen but it would be a way more enjoyable experiance for the attendees.Written 1 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LKNCHOWHOUNDCornelius, NC9,831 contributionsSmall neighborhood park across the street from Huntersville Elementary.
Has a covered Picnic Area with Grills, a well maintained and safely engineered Play Area for young Children and climbing sets etc and for the older kids and adult, a set of nice lighted Tennis Courts.
Covers much of the basics required to make it a nice family oriented park. Not far from Discovery Place for Kids either.Written 18 December 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is so much land there that you cannot access because it is a wildlife refuge. A nice picnic bench under a covered area is there and the few short trails they have are well maintained. Some good raptor watching on the power lines but like it said it is limited.Written 19 July 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
