Nakupenda Beach Stone Town
#1 of 22 Nature & Parks in Zanzibar Island
We went one morning last week with a boat and lunch arranged through Zanzibar Free Tours/Nakupenda Beach Safari, which is located just by the road tunnel between the beach and forodani park.
Walk into the lane that goes towards the beach, between the old German embassy and Fordhani park, ask for a chap by the name of Lenny or a number of other boat owners sitting there ask for these prices..they will...

Fabulous beach, clear water, and perfect weather, where you can relax and enjoy the fairness of nature (Our stay was in July)
This is one of the most magical beaches I've been to, the tides and lows are extreme here and are a very beautiful part of nature that you can see and be part of.

You wake each morning to the call or nature, which is a concerto of birds in full song and a reminder that you have become part of a creative oneness.
Lovely beach for relaxing, however the tidal nature means swimming not always possible.

... and it is worth to see it.I must say I liked those turtles more than on Prison Island-perhaps because this place was created by pure nature and people are really very friendly there. There are also crocodiles!
Perfect for nature lovers

We stopped by this place in June 2016 while driving back to Stone Town from Jozani Bay National park.
Anything that helps locals and nature I fully support

My guide was very knowledgeable and took me on a three-hour walk visiting all main habitats in the park: tropical forest, dry bush, mangrove scrub, and the mangrove boardwalk: this cost me an extra 60,000Tshs.
We also had an amazing and very knowledgeable guide who was clearly very passionate about his role at the National Park.

We loved the nature, the beach, the view, the bungalows, the atmosphere, the staff, the food - you can visit the island by booking a day trip or stay overnight which gives you an opportunity to see a coconut crab...
Between the swimming, hiking, and stairs in the lighthouse, the park is ideal for those used to at least light physical stain.

There is a concrete path and stairway leading to the caves but later it's all as nature intended.
It was like going inside a haunted house in a theme park with the big spiders running and the flying bats.

The Green Adventure Trip included for me one guided nature trail, one night stay in a specially beautyful house in the jungle, one guided culture trip in Muungoni Village and three wonderful meals.
We went to ZALA park in 2011 and to find it still going is amazing, they are using the park to educate local school children about wildlife in the locality and how important it is to survive.
