Trausnitz Castle Landshut
#5 of 164 Sights & Landmarks in Lower Bavaria
There is a restaurant in the castle, very convenient for lunch, especially on a sunny day when one may sit on the terrace and enjoy the spectacular views over Landshut.
Even though the castle was closed it is still highly recommended to have a look as you can experience the most beautiful view from Landshut from above!!

A wonderfully scenic boat ride from Kelheim to the Monestary and a very nice, relaxing afternoon of wondering around and enjoying the sights, sounds and historical beauty of this place.
This Benedictine Abbey has a magnificent Baroque church on the site with perhaps one of the most beautiful altars ever.

The views from up there over the Danube Gorge and the town of Kelheim are absolutely stunning, especially in the late afternoon / early evening sunlight.
Up on the "roof" (through the endless stairs) there is an amazing view as well absolutely worth it.

After the parade we sat at picnic tables and enjoyed giant pretzels and giant beers, then walked around to view the actors recreating daily life in the Middle Ages
Also, they build up a medieval village with nice attractions and food, and they host this huge parade every Sunday (definitely get up there in the early morning to get a front-line view).
