- Bobbi SLido Beach, NY4,838 contributionsWe liked the South Haven lighthouse for its profile set against Lake Michigan. We came here during a day when the waves were crashing up on the pier so that we got soaked (it was fun) & one evening for sunset when the water was calm, and the sky was beyond beautiful. Be careful walking on the pier because, not only can you get wet from the waves but there are spots that are uneven. Try to catch a sunset as we did. The colors of the lighthouse against the sky are amazing.Written 5 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rene' H4 contributionsThis really should be in the # 1 slot for things to do. The nominal fee to enter was more than worth it. The main building recently opened and is very informative with artifacts and displays. There are 3 out buildings with a 4th opening soon. These are all well done, as well. A chat on the Tall Ship Friends Goodwill was informative. Be sure to take a water cruise (not operating on the day we visited). Highly recommend this wonderful gem in South Haven!!Written 24 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bobbi SLido Beach, NY4,838 contributionsThis is an easily walkable/bikeable sometimes-shaded, bucolic trail created as a "rail trail" on a former railroad bed from the 1870's. It is all asphalt, flat, & winds alongside bodies of water, sometimes busy main roads and with lots of wildflowers growing alongside (also flies...so, bring bug spray). It is 33.5 miles long, has a campground, Kal Haven Outpost, on the South Haven end of it, as well as a water fountain, bike tools & rest rooms. There are covered bridges & overpasses to go under and through, nice views alongside & benches to rest on. Not sure if its recent closing is a temporary one while work is done on it but, we got super lucky and walked it maybe an hour before barricades were put up, closing it down.Written 9 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JanieScottsdale, AZ3 contributionsThere are many rentals on North Beach to stay at. I took my family which included two kids. Tons of things to do, super clean beach, can walk along the beach directly to the pier. Highly recommend staying at North Beach.Written 11 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- serichards8Franklin, IN12 contributionsSuch a great place to visit! My husband and I went with our 2 1/2 year old and we all had a great time. We fed and pet the animals (who all look very well taken care of), picked some delicious blueberries, and purchased some yummy treats from the bakery. Everyone working was so friendly. We were happy to have stopped by this great little place. Highly recommend!Written 9 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AMG417Decatur, IL29 contributionsWe rented bikes and rode an enjoyable 6 miles one way to the beach and then back. The trail was paved and well maintained. Mostly shady and mostly flat. It was a fairly easy ride with some small hills. It does cross several roads, so watch the kids close at intersections. Overall we really enjoyed this and would go again.Written 29 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Quest585075035671 contributionWe stayed in camp site 100. When we first arrived we were overwhelmed by the number of people there. Some sites are bigger than others but be prepared for multiple tents, multiple cars at each site. We would see 15 people gathered in one site. Lots of children. Just good to know. Some sites towards the back seem a little more secluded if that’s what you’re looking for. We found the bathrooms very clean and modern although we did have to wait for a shower on occasion. It did generally get quiet at night. We found the beach to be an easy and enjoyable walk. It is rocky though so one day we drove into South Haven and the beach there is perfectly smooth. We also enjoyed the 5.5 mile bike trail into South Haven.Written 3 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Carol0325Naperville, IL43 contributionsWe went to Overhiser Orchards to pick peaches, but while we were there, we were also able to pick pears, blueberries and sunflowers. It's not often that you can pick multiple fruits at the same time. The family staff was extremely friendly and helpful in telling us how and where to pick, how to get the ripest fruits and in what order we should plan our visit. They have regular tractor-drawn wagons that take you out and pick you up from the various locations on the property. We also felt the prices were very reasonable. Tip: If you pick peaches, try not to stack them too high in your bushel or in the car as they are fragile and will bruise. As a treat when we were done, we got fresh lemonade and delicious donuts to go. Highly recommend!Written 29 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- kaychris0215Chicago, IL19 contributionsWas very disappointed to see a different playground instead of the wood one. My kids love wood playgrounds. However, this new one is nice and there was plenty for my 5&8 year old to. A bathroom is located next to the park and a short walk to the beach.Written 25 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
