- Kate87200Limoges, France20 contributionsOn a rainy Sunday in April we took the afternoon steam train ride from Martel to see the stunning scenery of the Dordogne valley. The weather was against us but we had a great time.
This tourist attraction is great value at around 12€ per person. A lovely way to spend an hour and a quarter. On a clear day the views would be beautiful …..we were just unlucky. Although we could still see some beautiful sights so don’t let the weather put you off.
The staff were really helpful. My dad is elderly and in a wheelchair but they have all the conveniences to make it an accessible trip for him too. Ramps up to the carriage, disabled toilets. There is a lovely cafe bar, no expensive. The guide spoke in French but also translated certain information into English too.
The trains are well looked after and the outing was great fun. An adventure into travel of a bygone age. Highly recommended.Written 25 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - emilydaisy01Romford, UK37 contributionsWe really enjoyed the time we spent here.
