A wonderful place to visit on a nice day. I stopped in Chicago for the day on my way out west. Chicago is an underrated city for shopping and beautiful lake views. Didn’t have time for the restaurants but would like to return soon

The most amazing views! The tilt experience was great and I thought, reasonably priced! Staff were nice and queues moved fast. Only thing that stopped it being a 5 was the cost of the photos. You expect to pay a bit more at these things but I felt $30 for one print was excessive.
Would definitely recommend when in Chicago!

Who knew such a wonderful theater was tucked into the old Water Tower! We saw Lucie and Charlie’s Honeymoon and absolutely Loved It! So original. So inventive. This theatre is a hidden gem!

The Tribune Tower is an impressive neo-gothic skyscraper in downtown Chicago, and it is one of the many iconic buildings that gives the city its reputation as having some of the most impressive architecture of any city in the world. Completed in 1925, it sits at a prominent location near the corner of Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive where Michigan Ave crosses the Chicago River. The whole area makes for some great photos and can also be experienced by strolling on the Chicago Riverwalk. This was once home to the Chicago Tribune newspaper but has been converted into residences in the past 10 years. It is interestingly decorated on the exterior with rocks embedded into the walls from many famous landmarks of the world.

In a city famous for the impressive architecture of its skyscrapers, the Wrigley Building is one of the most impressive and beloved of all. The terra cotta white building with its famous clock tower is especially beautiful when illuminated at night. Completed in 1924 as the headquarters of the Wrigley Gum Company, it was the first building of importance in the city built north of the Chicago River. After crossing the Michigan Ave Bridge, the Wrigley Building and the Tribune Tower across the street now mark the start of Chicago's Magnificent Mile. Views near the bridge are spectacular and the whole area can also be enjoyed by walking along the Chicago Riverwalk.

Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago was originally formed as a merger of two churches in 1871. Since 1914 it's been located on E Chestnut Street, and it faces N Michigan Avenue. The beautiful Gothic architecture of the church is unforgettable. It was designed by architects Shaw and Cram, and it looks magnificent, standing out in the surroundings of modern high-rises and skyscrapers.

The ornate interior and grand auditorium of the church, colorful glass windows, lovely courtyard with a fountain -- everything is very attractive and memorable.

Fourth Presbyterian Church has always played a significant role not only as a place of worship, but has been also an active participant in the socio-economic development of the city: it reached out to the poor in the nearby neighborhood, helped to create the Presbyterian Hospital in 1884, and has been organizing and promoting many important educational and cultural programs in the city.

The church was closed during the pandemic; it was such a pleasure to visit it again in September, and to see one of the Friday Noonday Concerts, organized by the church. It was a concert, with pianist and composer Amy Wurtz performing.

Beautiful sounds of music in this historic, magnificent church! ...

The historic Water Tower is a landmark building located along N. Michigan Avenue at the Jane Byrne Plaza. It was built along with the pumping station across the street by prolific architect William W. Boyington (1867-69) and made up entirely of limestone which allowed the two buildings to survive the infamous fire of 1871 that destroyed almost the entire city of Chicago. As such, the Water Tower and Pumping Station are two of the oldest surviving buildings in the city. It is also recognised as an American Water Landmark (1969) for being the second oldest water tower in America.

From the Jane Byrne Plaza you can enjoy an up close look at the Water Tower and its somewhat whimsical castle like exterior. The City Gallery is located with and is open for visitation when exhibitions are being held. It makes for an interesting building to view while browsing or shopping along the Magnificent Mile.

Although now known uninspiring as "875 North Michigan Avenue", this impressive modern skyscraper located along the Magnificent Mile will always be remembered as The John Hancock Center. Built in 1968, it was the second tallest building in the world. Only the Empire State Building was taller. Now it is only the 5th tallest building in just Chicago. However, it remains an iconic landmark and is a key contributor to making Chicago one of the best cities for architecture in the world. For a steep price, you can visit the 360 Chicago Observation Deck on the 95th floor for incredible views both day and night. There is also a separate restaurant on the 94th floor. I think the views from the John Hancock are better than the Sears Tower (Willis Tower) but the later can claim to be the tallest in the city.

Decent food options and a vast array of upscale shopping locations. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and there was a very sparse crowd (good for us, but not for the merchants) and the food court was an excellent selection of cuisines. If you go, you must try the TopGolf Swing Suite (6th floor). Great bar and fun 'adult' gaming activities on two large interactive screens.

Fancying a walk in a luxury department store, I entered 900 North Michigan Shops when I saw the Bloomingdale’s sign. Venturing into the beauty section I sampled the lipsticks with help from the sales associate and took advantage of the free gift offer and made a purchase. I love MAC cosmetics, especially their lipsticks so I was excited that I could indulge my weakness.
The rest of the store was just as pleasant to walk through and admire the merchandise. There were lovely displays including a flower cart where a fragrance purchase qualifies you for a lovely bouquet. I would definitely visit again if I ever needed more MAC items.

Very pleasant & fast way to get from place to place. It was hard to find where to get on at first. We followed the other tourists. Chicago is a beautiful city.

What a fantastic experience! I last saw STOMP 20+ years ago & I have to say it was 100% worth seeing again-the new performers delivered a charismatic, dynamic experience from start to finish. Would absolutely recommend & see again!!!

Shops at North Bridge is located on Michigan Ave centred around a multi-floor Nordstrom anchor along with around 50 mid-range to luxury brand name shops and eateries. It makes for a good mall experience and contribution to the shopping scene along the Magnificent Mile. If helpful, check the North Bridge website for directory of businesses that can be found here.
