It is worth looking for a parking place to enjoy this unique theater. (Spot Hero is very helpful)
We were very surprised by the very comfortable bar and spacious , wide open lounge in the lobby with inviting tables and chairs. The polished wooden floor with beautiful area rugs made the space very welcoming. When we return, we will arrive earlier just to enjoy this beautiful space.
The intimate 200 seat theater was a great space for "Always, Patsy Cline"...every seat seemed to have a great view of the stage, and the sound was perfect without being too uncomfortably loud. The presentation was a walk back in time with the haunting voice of Patsy. Such a demanding role was made to look easy by Harmony France as she sang non-stop. She managed to emote the essence of Patsy within the 26 songs (!) with the help of Danni Smith who played her friend. The story moves well through the talent of both women.
The Den Theater experience was delightful in every way.

This is a very light and enjoyable operetta that updates Cinderella's story to modern times. Gone are the stereotypes of how it takes a prince to elevate Cinderella to a better life. Instead, with some coaching she gets up the courage to showcase her beautiful voice at a local audition and wins out over her cruel stepsisters. The actors are refreshing and upbeat and went out of their way to interact with the children in the audience.
The Den Theatre, (1333 N. Milwaukee Ave.) is a very small venue with seating in the round, so there's no bad seats. The play is short (85 minutes) and goes by quickly keeping the younger audience's attention. It runs through January 8 and would be a fun alternative to take the kids to an affordable and fun holiday plan

Really cool place to go for cabaret performances. Great staff and excellent selections from the bar. I'm sure I'll be back again.
