What travellers are saying
- StucolcoJohns Island, SC1,578 contributionsI took my 11 year old grandson to see “The Man Who Was Thursday” and we both enjoyed this play very much. The acting and staging was excellent, ticket prices for a senior and student very reasonable and the theatre staff very pleasant and friendly. The theatre itself is very well designed, seats very comfortable with apparently no bad seats in the house.Written 28 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- DoorCtyResFish Creek, WI345 contributionsFirst, note that the address listed here is incorrect, they have moved to Evanston.
We really enjoyed our evening here. We saw The Full Monte and loved it! Lots of energy from the cast, the crowd was dull but after a while got into it. This is an 80 seat storefront theater and that makes for an intimate evening.
Only issue is don't eat here. Food was blah. There is a Jamaican restaurant right down the street that would be a much better choice.Written 17 December 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Minerva55Independence, KY69 contributionsWe attended a wedding reception here and was fascinating. Granted, the bride is artistically inclined and has a certain style, but the staff at the Mayne Stage obviously supported her vision. If you are looking for a unique party venue, this is it!Written 28 March 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Victor REast Lansing, Michigan130 contributionsLooking for a restaurant with live jazz on a Thursday evening, we made reservations at Le Piano. Little did we know that it would become our most memorable wedding anniversary experience ever. After a five hour drive, we checked in to a downtown Evanston hotel. We decided to use Uber on our own for the first time. That went well until the driver let us out. Oops, we didn’t see any sign of a restaurant. On a hunch, I walked past the El station entrance, and spotted Le Piano in the first block of a closed-off section of North Glenwood. We were welcomed warmly and given our choice of being close to the band. We chose a reasonable distance away. My steak and her seafood were delightful, and so were the selections played by the Derek Dulera Organ Trio. When the band took a break, the club manager discovered they we were observing our anniversary. How would we like a surprise, he asked. With more than half of our wine consumed, we accepted with a why not. Moments later, he asked us to follow him. “Just leave your things on the table.” He led us to the grand piano and told us to lie on our backs underneath and close our eyes. I’ve never heard “Moon River” or anything else from under a grand piano. There’s nothing quite like it. Suddenly, the band and everyone in the place were our friends. After dessert, we even got a ride back to our hotel from a mother and daughter at the next table.Written 16 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
