- Mark RValparaiso, IN904 contributionsAn absolutely beautiful theater with comfortable seating great views and loose and very good acoustics. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house.Written 18 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rita A7 contributionsSuch a beautiful theater! The ushers and staff here were awesome. So friendly and helpful. - Christine WeatherbyDyer, IN16 contributionsI took my family here at Christmastime to see the Q Brothers performance of "A Christmas Carol" and everyone had such a fun time! - DIaneWIsconsin125 contributionsBeautiful old theater, we were told ahead of time some seats may have obstructed views so I was very careful with our seat selection. We were in the mezzanine row G aisle seat and 3 more, we all liked the seating, we were center stage. There is an elevator but it is small, we climbed the 3 levels of steps, gets a bit crowded before the doors open so it was pretty tight for a while, beverage sales and merchandise for the musical made it a little congested. We loved this beautiful theater, be aware there is no railing getting down to or up from your seat and It can be a step pitch if you our uneasy at that height, I noticed one women using the aisle seat back to help her. I would choose a seat closer to the door if that would concern you. Great sound system, would definitely return and also booked the adjoining hotel, very convenient!Written 18 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ERFSU82Wellington, FL1,121 contributionsMy wife and I went to see two shows on consecutive nights. It’s an architectural gem and an impressive venue. The first night, we sat in the upper balcony, where the seats were small, cramped and very uncomfortable (but still a good view of the stage). The second night we sat down on the main level, where the seats were much roomier and more comfortable. It’s a great place to see a show.Written 15 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Anne BGlenview17 contributions"Alice" was phenomenal! I took my 2 grandkids- aged 10 and 6. They were mesmerized by the action, choreography, acting, and costumes. Our seats in middle of balcony were perfect to see the acrobatics.Written 16 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lauren B12 contributionsWe went and saw Jesus Christ Superstar 50th anniversary tour. When we were getting our bags checked, one security guard said masks were required but then the next security guard said they were optional. After we scanned our tickets and went into the lobby, some lady came up to us (not wearing a name tag or anything indicating she worked there) and told us we had to wear our masks. Then over the intercom they said masks were optional. Long story short I don’t know if you need a mask at this theater as of July 2022. All of the attendants and the doors giving out the Playbills were very polite and kind. The bathrooms were clean and there was a nice bar. They could probably use an additional elevator, as there was always a line.Written 21 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sandra CHarviell, MO184 contributionsIf you get the chance to see the one-woman show "Where We Belong" jump on it! It is incredibly informative, funny, thought-provoking---we enjoyed every aspect of this performance.
This particular show had open seating so arrive a little early to get the seat you want but there really aren't any bad seats.
Bravo Madeline Sayet---you opened our eyes, our minds AND entertained. Bravo!Written 18 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I greatly appreciated Millionaire's assistance - she helped us with some seating issues related to my mom's mobility issues.
The play was incredibly charming! It's slapstick comedy, which we enjoy, and it was almost as much fun watching other peoples' reactions as watching the play!
I appreciate that the masking policy is still in place.

The main entrance is on Randolph, the theater backs to the band shelter in Millennium park. There are literally 10,000 parking spots within a short walk of this theater, most of which are in unheated parking garages accessible without stepping outside. Entering at street level you walk level to the top of the balcony, or down stairs to lower levels. There are no escalators, but it is a modern theater so there are probably ADA elevators someplace. The building is not ornate at all, but new and functional. I did not see the balcony seats, but the lower level is bowled so that all seats have excellent views, even from the far left side in the front which is where we sat. Seats in back of the floor level would also be great, because they slope up and the balcony is very high so it would not obstruct your view. There was a small bar set up in the bottom floor lobby for drinks and chips.
There is nothing really to see here unless there is a show, but the magic show we attended was wonderful and affordable. Temperature was comfortable and the neighborhood is safe. If you are visiting from out of town, be sure to take a short walk through Millennium park before or after the show.Written 4 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JazzySharChicago, IL84 contributionsWhat a great little theater with huge character, and a nice size lounge area…From the outside the theater looks uninviting. It’s an older theater that features International films. However, upon entry (we were looking for a place to have drinks prior to our play) we were pleasantly surprised. The theater has a full bar, a spacious lounge area, and friendly staff. The lounge was so warm and comfy…it can be rented for private events!!!Written 7 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Juancho DWarsaw, IN649 contributionsLocated up north it’s a great Brie for music shows. We saw Galantis - an EDM duo and show was second to none. Acoustics and space was ample and had good logístics. - Janet B2 contributionsI went to this venue for the first time in August 2022. I went to the website to see what the bag policy was. Under permitted items I found this: “Backpacks (subject to change based on event.)” If they would allow backpacks I figured my purse should be fine. Wrong. “Subject to change based on event” isn’t helpful when there’s no advanced notice of that change and no info to be found on the venue’s website. Along with many other angry concert-goers, I was directed to lockers where I could store my purse for $10. Because I had parked so far away it wasnt ideal to take it back to the car so I was stuck. It seemed like a big scam to me!
Live Nation had a place just before security for measuring bags. The ACTUAL bag policy was 4.5” x 6.5” x 4.5”. Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags can be 12” x 6” x 12”.Written 9 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
