He responded immediately and gave me a suggestion of which hotel pick-up spot was closest to where I was staying and he recommended checking out the lobby. This was an excellent little nugget that I appreciated. IT was the Palmer House Hotel and it is decorated wonderfully for Christmas right now.
Rick was right on time and luckily our group was only 4 people. He brought us to all of the most important places in Chicago and gave us some history and general info about the neighbourhoods and landmarks. Rick had an excellent sense of humour and really made the tour great. When you buy the architecture cruise, you get a voucher to redeem for a timed ticket of your choosing. He makes the tour feel like someone is taking their time to show us around town and not like a tour. Bus is clean and he makes sure it is not over crowded by limiting it to 10 people even though he could likely pack a few more in. We spent the best few days of our lives touring the West with our guide Chloe.
She was an awesome guide with an endless knowledge of the sites , stories and people we visited. She was aware of our limits and likes and made sure that our tours were jam packed and filled with sensory overload.
After the tour was over and we parted ways with Chloe and felt that we left a dear friend behind.
Your company and Chloe get a solid 10 out of 10 "Stars" and talked about with nothing but the highest of praise.
Thank you again for a lifetime of memories jam packed into a few short days.

We love the destinations included in the tour, every place we visited is on our bucket list. I wanted to pinch myself every day that I visited those iconic and beautiful places as shown in my photos below.
We enjoyed all the extra, optional experiences that were suggested by the tour guide. They added more fun to the tour. The Hummer tour in Moab, Utah was one of the optional experiences and it was a blast! Not only it’s fun, you get to see the amazing scenery during the sunset.
One previous review mentioned he or she was forced to participate in the Navajo taco dinner in Monument Valley. That comment is not true. You have a choice not to do that and the guide can make a different arrangement for you. The optional Navajo taco dinner is one of the highlights of the tour that we will remember for a long time. It would be a shame not to have this cultural experience when you get to meet Navajo people when you are in the Navajo Nation!
Our tour guide, John did a fantastic job. He was full of enthusiasm and energy. He kept the tour well organized and always provided information we needed. Mr. Steve Johnson was very engaging, entertaining, and personable. He is knowledgeable about the history of Chicago and the contributions African Americans made in Chicago. A LOT OF PEOPLE will enjoy this tour. The cons” The tour stated to end the tour at a soul food restaurant, we did not experience that when we asked; The guide did not know what we were referring to. - Sherry H1 contributionI wasn’t 100% sure about doing the tour experience because I’m not one who usually enjoys meeting strangers but this tour was all planned out for me so my lazy side went ahead and booked it. I ended up having such a great time!! Our tour guide, Joel, was definitely a 10 out of 10 and our group of travelers were from all over the world. My husband and I got to share these beautiful places with new friends.
All the hotels were safe and clean, food was tasty, and the van was reasonably comfortable. Joel was a plethora of interesting information and the tour was well organized without feeling rushed.
