Good beer but a bit of a slow crowd. I was anticipating a bit more of a younger scene. The area it is located in was very industrial and a little deserted. I came from the South Loop and I wouldn’t recommend walking it by yourself. We tried the Flamingo IPA and a simple lager. The 8 oz taster glasses were really nice to try beer without committing to a whole pint. The service was great and everyone was very friendly. I would recommend the brewery if you were looking for a good place to catch up with someone or have a quite beer.

The best brewery tour I’ve done anywhere in the world. Great employees that are passionate about the product really make it interesting and in such a chilled atmosphere.

If you love beer and love Chicago..this is a must visit and tour to go on. The tour was excellent and so were all the types of beers we tried. The place and the tour took us through every aspect of how they make the beer and we got numerous samples. A great date night.

Begyle was super chill and cool!! Enjoyed the whole setup next to the train tracks and American flags flying in the background for Veteran’s Day. Shout out to the Veterans!🇺🇸🇺🇸 I loved the beers!! Batch 663 (English Style Barrel Aged Barleywine Ale) was EXCELLENT!! The Imperial Pajamas (Bourbon Barrel aged imperial stout) was AWESOME!! You need reservations to sit down at a picnic tables. I did see some people coming and going to walking up to the window to get carry out beers and ciders! Bought a to go cider which was great and easy drinking and a Christmas Ale 4 pack(Spiced /Herbed Beer) which was delicious and just in time for the holidays! 🎄They do not serve food. It is BYOF(Bring Your Own Food). I had a great time!

Was in town for a convention at McCormick Place and saw this place pop up on Apple Maps. Saw it had good reviews and decided to check it out, we were not disappointed. We were in the second floor tasting room and had a great bartender and overall atmosphere. There were some board games and while they don't serve food (other than some popcorn), I believe you can have it delivered (there were signs for suggested delivery services, but we weren't looking to eat there). Very reasonably priced too.

Great small brewery in Chicago with a nice variety of beers - some with pug logos!!Unfortunately they were out of sours when we visited. There’s food on the menu as well for those who need something non to go with their drinks. Atmosphere was nice yet busy and crowded. Not overly loud either. Staff was friendly and we didn’t have to wait to get our order.

There are different pour sizes so one can taste a few offerings. We were here on a Sunday afternoon and really enjoyed it. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and good beer.

We met a few family members there one afternoon after a wedding the night before. We had recently eaten so I did not try the food but others with us enjoyed it. I saw a grilled cheese a salad and pretzels bites (appetizer) eaten. But the beer was GREAT! I used to be more of a beer drinker but now I usually stick to white wine. But when in Rome... I had the Oktoberfest and the Red Velvet and they were both wonderful. Since we were there in the afternoon (2-4ish) it was not that busy. But I really enjoyed it

I had some really nice session beer here and played some board games with random strangers. Another group also offered us some pizza! Really nice atmosphere, and the crowd that hangs out here seems really nice.

We hit the big brewery in Chicago but we wanted to go to small independent craft breweries more than anything and this was our first one. I have had some of their beer before but never from the source. Bartender was great, selection of beer on tap and in bottles was fantastic. They had a special bottle that was for tap room consumption only, Polar S'moretex, a double marshmallow stout.

We recently moved into the area, and this was one of the locations we were excited that was part of the neighborhood. It is a huge space that expanded with even more outdoor space for entertaining. It is real casual environment both inside/outside - they used to even have board games available for the guest to play. They allow children and animals; it makes it a great place to invite all you friends. The outdoor space makes it great in the summer for folks to hang out. I really wish Chicago had more options similar to this. Additionally, the food is served by Lillie q's which is delicious BBQ and they have a great spicy, fried chicken sandwich.

This is a pretty compact brewery compared to other locals but they are set up nicely. We were there Saturday with my over 21 children and Clint the owner was awesome and gave us an intimate tour with interesting info. Tastings of stellar beers and great brewing talk. The passion of his craft is evident and probably why their beers are as good as they are. Clint described his homebrew start and how he evolved his passion into an ultra cool business .What an awesome way to spend a couple hours on a Saturday. We highly recommend checking out Lake Effect

Good place to stop for some good beers. They have a nice variety, spacious interior and pretty good food - the cheese curds were great!

I contacted Dovetail asking if they would be able to accommodate 36 people at the same time for about an hour if we stopped by during a private brewery crawl and they responded right away welcoming us. Although it was a Saturday evening and it was pretty crowded, they did a great job serving everyone in our party and we had fun during our short visit. Everyone in the group enjoyed the beer and in particular the IPAs were a favorite.
