Water Tower Place is the centerpiece of the Magnificent Mile, Chicago's shopping mecca. Located at 835 North Michigan Avenue, in the shadow of the Hancock building, across the street from the historic Chicago Water Tower, it is a large urban, mixed-used development comprising a 758,000 square feet shopping mall within a 74-story skyscraper. When built in 1975, it was the tallest reinforced concrete building in the world with a 78-story, 859-foot tall reinforced concrete slab, faced with gray marble, in the tower section. One of the first vertical malls in the world, the eight-level mall features nearly 100 shops, a live theatre and several restaurants, all arranged around a chrome-and-glass atrium with glass elevators. The structure also contains a Ritz-Carlton hotel, 360 condominium units and office space. Today, the mall is anchored by a three-story American Girl store. Other stores include White House Black Market, Chico's, Lacoste, Eileen Fisher, Adidas, Akira, Claire's, Locker Room, Lego, Sephora, J.Jill, Johnston & Murphy's, Bath & Body Works and Sunglass Hut. Also be sure to visit the Chicago Sports Museum. For a break, have lunch at Harry Caray's 7th Inning Stretch Restaurant & Sports Bar or grab a snack at Garrett's Popcorn Shop or Auntie Anne's cookies.

This is the place to go if you are in the market for new, high end kitchen appliances or remodel fixtures and you want to see them and talk to peopel who know the differences between all the diff models/products. For those of us who live in small markets and can't actually see the actual appliances and are left to guess with either sales people who don't know squat (eg. Best Buy or small appliance stores that hire your college student on vacation), this is the place to go to really shop.

Make an appointment with all the show rooms and have them tell you about their products. They don't actually sell you the product, but they are very knowledgeable. Thermador, Bosch, Miele, Wolf, Monogram, Dakor, Waterworks, you name it, it's there.

One stop shopping with people who know their stuff.

Decent food options and a vast array of upscale shopping locations. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and there was a very sparse crowd (good for us, but not for the merchants) and the food court was an excellent selection of cuisines. If you go, you must try the TopGolf Swing Suite (6th floor). Great bar and fun 'adult' gaming activities on two large interactive screens.

Shops at North Bridge is located on Michigan Ave centred around a multi-floor Nordstrom anchor along with around 50 mid-range to luxury brand name shops and eateries. It makes for a good mall experience and contribution to the shopping scene along the Magnificent Mile. If helpful, check the North Bridge website for directory of businesses that can be found here.

Block 37 has been getting busier in Summer 2023: new stores open, new services are being added, several fast- and quick food cafes and stands are now open on different levels of the mall. The mall Directory has been updated (Food Fashion Films), Customer Service Desk has also been quite helpful, giving the accurate info on various businesses in the mall.

One of the innovative entertainment features in Block 37 is the holographic theater Verse Immersive (Level 1), that opened to public in spring 2023, making the augmented reality available to public.

I always enjoy spending some time in Block 37: there are various clothing stores, cosmetics shops, factory stores, AMC Dine-in Theatres (Level 4), there are many spacious, well appointed rest areas, and clean restrooms. The mall looks fresh and modern!

Block 37 is located in the center of Theatre District in Chicago Loop; there are many other shops and nice restaurants in this area.

The Illinois Center is featured on Google Maps because of its parking garage, but It is much more than that. The wide and high entrance on East Wacker Drive is white and airy and leads into a lower ceiling shopping and office hallway. A major tennant is the Architecture Center with an entrance also on Wacker, but down the other hallway, one finds four or five restaurants, a FedEx branch, a credit union, and even a dentist. A perpendicular hallway conveniently connects to the Hyatt complex without the need to go outside.

Nice shopping center. Make sure to get your parking validated when you check out. Thanks to Laura from Texas for helping us get organized at The Container Store.

Hint: sign up for a 20% discount for college students at The Container Store for back to school in August.

I stayed in a condo near by and was pleasantly surprised with this area. There is a movie theater, grocery store, several restaurants, and a bar/bowling area. It wasn't very busy but I was there on weekdays. In walking distance to the neighborhoods surrounding it, but has ample parking as well.

Such a cool shop. Winsome has so many interesting and unique styles, and a strong focus on ethical production and sustainability. The atmosphere of the store is the perfect mix of fun design and laid back relaxing feel. I love the unisex and mens clothing options too.
