I love the bands and singers at Blue Chicago. In my ~ 45 years going to live blues shows, I don't remember ever having both the bands and the accompanying singers sound so good every time. Super friendly folk also. The other night a bunch of people from Buddy Guy's Legends club came in late and everyone had a ball!

I was in an hostel near Kingston Mines, and the staff recommended me this place. It was my first time in a blues local, and I totally felt in love with it. I will return asap.

Best place for live blues music. Food was amazing and vibes were great. Highly recommend Wednesday nights as this also promotes open jam night.

Small, but just what you would expect. Now, granted this isn't the Checkerboard Lounge or Wise Fools Pub of yesteryear. This North side, doing South side best as it can.

I'm a blues fan, and I've been to Chicago several times. I usually go to places like Kingston Mines or Buddy Guy's, but my wife and I decided to try something a little farther out. Are we glad we did. Lee's Unleaded is just so much more authentic. The music is FANTASTIC, the people are amazingly friendly (the doorman, the bar staff, and practically every person who walked by), and it doesn't feel like a tourist trap (which KM has become). Sure, it's a little more out of the way, but just hop in a taxi to get there, and call for one when you're leaving. If you're a fan of the blues, and blues music culture, you won't regret it.

Linda's Place is one of the best Blues Bars in Chicago. Linda is a gracious host and makes all her patrons feel welcome. The houseband on Monday Nights is The Bullet Proof Band and singer L-Roy. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to see and hear Chicago Blues in a bar setting
I dont know the neighbourhood of the bar so it might be advisable to travel by car or taxi

This is the quintessential blue bar of Chicago. I was in a very funky location on 43rd Street for decades, but now is located at 5201 South Harper in Hyde Park. Still has great blues.
