    Fun night of magic
    The Chicago Magic Lounge provided a fun, entertaining evening. During the first part, magicians roam the floor engaging with folks at individual tables. Waiters take drink and small-plate food orders. The main act consisted of two magicians performing amazing tricks, also engaging with audience members, which made it unpredictable and added currency. Then there is a post-show for people who bought premium seats. The service was excellent, especially the performer who saw us out on the street after the show looking for a cab when none was in sight. Like magic, he pulled out his phone and called us an Uber! What a prince!

    Talented Cast
    We've been to Second City several times over the years. The last two times it seems they are going more toward skit comedy and getting away from their improv roots, or maybe we just picked the wrong shows. The cast does a great job and you can tell really put their all into their parts. Very talented people. I wish they would cut back on the political agenda, but it's expected in Chicago. Limited drink menu, but service staff were quick and efficient. Enjoyed the evening and will visit again.

    Great Blues Music at Blue Chicago
    A 33-year old neighborhood establishment. It’s authentic! Local blues bands. It’s not fancy and pretentious, the way blues should be.

    This is a CASH ONLY establishment. You pay a small cover charge to enter, $10.00-$12.00 per person. The bar is also cash. There is an ATM at the front door.

    A nice, mature and diverse crowd. Everyone dances and has a great time.

    Awesome
    Music is awesome, beer is cold, staff is friendly and if you are passing by or dont have much time to spend at the city this is a must go place at night!

    Great unassuming venue with top drawer music acts
    We booked the VIP seats which meant we had very comfy sofas instead of chairs. Not really necessary as the place was not too busy on a Tuesday night but for a special night out without kids it was worth the extra $. Bar provided table service which was great. No food service but apparently you can order in. We did the early show so we ate after the show. We saw Juli Woods quartet- absolutely amazing. Invited the audience to stay for the second set. Unfortunately had made other plans. Definitely recommend adding this venue to your Chicago entertainment plans!

    Good jazz club with great food
    We had a great time at Andy’s, but a few things could had been better.
    First, don’t believe in reviews that say you have to be absolutely quiet during the show. Sure, they say in the beginning that they have a silent policy, but I think it’s just to avoid loud people to be yelling and ruining the show. I had dinner and talked to my husband the entire time, other tables were doing the same. There’s no problem as long as you’re not yelling.

    The food is fantastic, we both loved our dishes. I just didn’t like the rush. We had reservations for 8:15. We ordered an app and they told was to also order the main dishes because it was the last call from the kitchen. I didn’t like to be so rushed. Same for drinks, last call was so fast that I couldn’t order a second one. I thought it was too early for that. The service was good and fast though.

    The show was good and very entertaining.

    Bible Bingo Was Great
    I had no idea what to expect. I knew it was a one woman show and bingo was played at some point. It was HILARIOUS! As a Catholic school “survivor” there was so much to laugh at. All the other audience members laughed as well. I will admit there were moments I found more humor in it than others but that made it that much more enjoyable all around. I’ll be back for Late Night Catechism soon enough!

    Closed and for sale
    Once one of the best blues clubs in Chicago, I passed by on 8 October. It was closed, with a "For Sale" sign posted on the door. Sad to see it go. One hopes for a second coming.

    Excellent jazz club in Chicago.
    If you're looking for live jazz music, this is the place to be. It's never crowded even when it's full, the acoustics are great they have wonderful cocktails and it's not expensive. We've been going often since they opened. We have never been disappointed.

    Thumbs up to the Windy City Rev Ups!
    The Windy City Rev Ups were playing when we visited. They were great! No cover charge when we were there, but there was a spot to put in a tip for the band. Great gift shop, too. The bar side seemed to be for those who were just coming in for drinks and music, which is what we were doing; seating was limited. Tables were for those who were ordering food, but about 9:45 p.m., they opened up the tables to everyone.

    Andrea was amazing server. Super sweet, a joy to have on our layover. She looked out for us flight attendants and really made the experience great. Def recommend the pasta 10/10 and her hospital was definitely a 10/10 so if Andrea is working you will be taken well care of no problem!

    Family fun
    Our family attended the 8 pm Friday show of ComedySportz while on vacation in Chicago. Having never been to an improv show we didn’t know what to expect but I am so glad we decided to go. The show was very upbeat and interactive with audience members. The improv actors are entertaining and talented beyond belief. It was a great night out with our two teenagers!!
