Visited to watch the sunset and learned the Key Colony Beach sunset song. A local wrote the song and everyone sings it at sunset. There are benches where you can sit. Beautiful scene

Our server at steak and lobster house bob told us about snorkeling here and also at the marathon lighthouse and he told us some good fishing advice. You should be stronger in the broken parts

The National Wildlife Refuge is doing a very good job during pandemic, you can visit by boat or car. Masks, Covid 19 clean, I think you might see more early in the morning. They have lots of birds, a bird sanctuary, key deer and wildlife, facilities.

The Thuderbolt is a wreck dive the main deck is at 100ft. It rests in sand at about 125'. We did see some fantastic schools of fish. Bring a good light and take a close look at the wreck. Beautiful little fish hiding in the crevices. We had two great sittings: a large Goliath Grouper and a very big barracuda. Worth the dive.

We happened upon this area and was pleasantly surprised by a sunset/social hour with the neighboring community. People sipping wine and sharing stories. Great atmosphere.
Beach is a small, secluded beach.

I had the occasion to frequent the bait shop and marina for gas over a nice vacation. In my experience anyone that works in a bait shop anywhere has always been down to earth and helpful. We stopped in to get some bait. Seeking some local knowledge and guidance, I asked the man for a bait suggestion and the response was "I don't know, I don't fish". Nough said. The staff seemed cranky and not terribly interested in being there. Same when we gassed up. There are way too many bait shops up and down the road in Marathon. We went elsewhere and they were as friendly as can be.

This by far is one of the nicest tourist shops we've found in the lower Keys! Very nice store clerk treats all customers as a long time friend, quality and attractive merchandise, mini museum like shop which is fairly off the beaten path, but so well arranged and stocked, that we were here for a good part of an hour. Both my wife and I left with a few nice things. I lucked out finding my fave and size 'Hook n Tackle shirt and Beer Can Shorts at a very good price! So happy with this shop, we actually returned for a round two! Highly recommended as you'll find great men's and women's clothing, sun and fun items, trinkets, and many, many worthwhile things... this is not your run-of-the-mill junk shop - quality stuff and people! Go for it.

Great trip with Joe. Weather was a challenge, quite windy. Joe knew where to find some fish in spite of the weather. Caught some nice mutton snapper.

A bucket list thing for me and it didn't disappoint. Captain Nick and Mike were great and patient with this old lady. We caught fish and the ultimate for me that I never dreamed would happen, brought in a sailfish. Nick was responsive from the time I contacted him trying to get me a good 1/2 day on the water (the weather was being uncooperative) but boy did we hit it right.

Dove with my 3 teenage sons, and my husband and sister snorkeled. Our captains were very kind and knowledgeable. The dives were amazing and they gave us great recommendations about where to go. All equipment was in good working order.
Need to be independent divers, as they do not go in the water with you. We went to Coffin's Patch - just gorgeous!

Capt Wayne, Capt Chris and Capt Kevin took very good care of us. All were informative and so willing to help us. We had a blast! I would highly recommend this boat and these guys! You can’t beat experience and Capt Wayne has it! All I can say is thank you for such a fun trip. You guys rock! Easy to get along with and extremely knowledgable. Do not hesitate to book with the Silver Fox!
We will see you again. Let’s go get another Swordfish! Thank you so much!
