Ever since I saw arrow heads, axes and spear heads on my grandfather's farm between Felton and Harrington, I have been interested in the Indian culture. This place was converted from an indian schoolhouse and did not disappoint. Not only did it have many collections of indian arrowheads and other implements, it had examples of pottery, clothing, housing, dolls, etc. Although this was Nanticoke Indian territory, donations from many other tribes were included and fascinating. I learned quite a bit here and will return again this summer with my grandchildren. Entry fee for adults is $3 but I encourage you to also make a donation of whatever amount that you feel comfortable with. The docent who guided me at the beginning of my tour was very knowledgeable and friendly.

The church offers a very warm reception and a wonderful faith journey. The music always makes me sense the joy of God. I love Fr Coine’s homilies. He offers a heartfelt message on that day’s reading. We have been attending for a year now and recently joined the church.

This is an older building with 3 floors of booths with various merchandise. Lots of items to look at, prices vary by seller. The basement has a low ceiling so be careful. We spent a nice amount of time here browsing, and made a purchase.

We live in an area where there is not a good selection of super markets. Harris Teeter,by default is my ‘go to’ store. There are certainly things which are really good-mainly the employees. Everyone smiles, says ‘hello’ and will stop what they are doing to help. I would love a better selection of meat although the butcher counter has v good steaks & now (thank goodness) freshly ground meat. Overall everyone seems to be trying to improve service. Two requests: a number system at the deli counter & the smaller shopping carts which Giant has & are well used.

Our gang decided to move on up to the high life on the last day of our spring Ocean City, Md. golf trip. we spent our lunch money on the Penisula golf and country club. we had a relatively early (for us) tee time, and it was a cold and windy april morning. beware this course in the wind. (and indeed it does blow a lot so close to the ocean) most of us are somewhat intermediate golfers; some are fairly good. if you are not in good shape, and in a competitive mood this course, in the wind, can eat you up. there are several well marked tees per hole, and after a few really frustrating attempts under the conditions, we opted for the the forward tees. this jack Nicklaus designed course runs 7200 yards from the back tees. from forward tees it can accommodate losers like me. many of the holes are either over water, or have water alongside, and many holes are also flanked and protected by sand. all in all you better be a pretty good sand player if you are going to survive here. with the wind pushing the ball all over the place, most of the front 9 was an adventure. later, the wind died down a bit, and the sun came out, and we had a chance to reflect on the absolute beauty of this course. the course hugs a local bay (Indian River Bay) and is in a development of gorgeous lakeside custom homes. there are various sites and pricing. the lakeside village golf shop, and spa, with indoor pool, is stunning. i could see why people pay a premium price for an outing. my cart partner and i did chuckle a bit when the starter read us the rules. it was longer than "war and peace." nevertheless, he was very sincere; i just wish we had brought lunch by the time he was done. we both commented that we did not feel comfortable with all the rules, but it is what it is. no honey boo-boos here. all in all, beautiful place, outstanding course, beware the wind. many in the group loved the place, but we said we would try to avoid the spring and fall weather. one of our group said to try to catch this place on a nice, summer day, with no wind. that's the key, if you can get a tee time.

The bowling alley is very dated and can really use an update especially to the seating area. If someone is using the lane next to you, you sometimes can't sit down or your squished next to someone you don't know. When you can sit, the couches are worn and offer no support. I think if they would set up square tables with 4 chairs for each lane with the even lanes having the chairs set back and odd lanes, having the chairs closer to the lanes, then everyone could sit and put their coats and bags down. This would make for a much more comfortable and relaxing time when bowling. The couches are fabric and are very dirty and the cushions are so worn, you sink in and it's hard to get back up. Table and chairs would work much better as I've seen in other bowling allies.

Erin (14) has been taking lessons for 9 months or so, and its transformed her life. She's much more responsible and confident now. Dawn is a great teacher and mentor. She's getting Erin ready for her first show next month. It's a treat watching her improve as she practices her various riding skills.

The environment at the stables is laid back. There is a courtyard with Adirondack chairs, benches and a fire pit for parents to hang out during lessons. The dogs and cats are very friendly and entertaining. It didn't take long to feel like one of the family here.

Dawn ran 4 weeks of summer camp this past year. She asked Erin to assist with the younger campers this year which was an honor considering she was only 6 months into lessons. This helped to build Erin's skills and confidence both in the saddle and out.

We highly recommend Winswept Stables. Dawn is a fabulous instructor and mentor.

I was very impressed with the Range Time facility. My son and I had never fired a pistol and we had a very good experience there. The staff were all very friendly and the range safety officer made us feel very comfortable and at ease while we were there.
