The wineries were memorable--Gundlach Bundschu was first and we have now found our new favorite wine to drink with spicy food--Gewurztraminer! Hard to spell but goes great with Thai food.
We got to see 2 wine caves, drink freshly pressed "juice" and handle the pressed grape skins.

The original menu he had was outdated and we were disappointed that we had to change our choice to something on the new menu, but the food was there when we arrived and turned out to also be a very good choice.
We are probably typical drinkers: we drink some but don't really know much about it.

Shout out to Barry in the tasting room, who helped me discover that there are Reds I enjoy and that food/wine pairing is really an incredible experience.
The tastings were great, but my favorite part about this winery is the ability to sit on the front porch, drink some wine, eat some cheese, and really just enjoy the beautiful ambiance and company.
