We found that by visiting central coast wineries during the “winter” we had the run of many wineries (avoid Saturdays at the most popular wineries).
Located a bit off the beaten track compared to the other vineyards we visited, Kelsey had a really congenial atmosphere that put me more in mind of a family BBQ than a ritzy wine tasting.

Of several wineries we visited while visiting in SLO, this was my favorite.
Located off of Orcutt Road in San Luis Obispo's wine country, family owned and operated Wolff Vineyards is a wonderful oasis that features tastings/purchase of amazing, award winning, hand crafted red and white wi...

I recommend this winery surrounded with vineyards, farms with lambs, turkey vultures soaring above and great wine.
Allison was our server and she was so adorable- knowledgable about the wine and the history of the winery and lots of fun.

We were touring Central Coast wineries while staying in Paso Robles.

This is a quintessential small winery with excellent wine and interesting people.
The lady who ran my tasting clearly loves her job and gave great advice, not only about C&C's wines, but also about other vineyards I should visit in the area.

It was a nice & relaxed vibe, unlike some of the Napa wineries (which can be a little snooty-especially when you have new wine drinkers in your group).
The vineyard is beautiful, the front and back patios are comfortable and welcoming, the staff are friendly, knowledgable and very helpful.

Now that we have lived on the Central Coast for almost two years, we have gotten to know the wineries better.
Stop in at your favorite deli or one of the local grocery stores and pack a lunch so you can take your time and enjoy the winery, the beautiful hillside view, the kind and friendly staff.

We found that by visiting central coast wineries during the “winter” we had a non-rushed experience and many wineries went off the tasting list and let us explore what we wanted.
Great place to relax with a glass of wine and enjoy a beautiful sunset over rolling hills and vineyards.

We had an absolutely lovely tasting and enjoyed both their whites and reds (at least half the wines really stand out among stiff competition from some great wineries in the Paso Robles area).
The wines are top notch, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the vineyards themselves have such history that together they make the perfect setting for wine lovers.
