What travellers are saying
- Adrian TMarlow, UK279 contributionsNiseko Village ski resort offers not many runs and the runs could be very narrow. It may get boring after a couple of goes but the good thing is that the whole Niseko resort is interconnected so it is easy to access Hirafu, Hanazono or Annapuri area.Written 12 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Adrian TMarlow, UK279 contributionsThe Annupuri Ski area is relatively flat, with many easy runs for beginners or intermediates. Those more advanced could go off piste but do be careful as the forest does get quite dense. There are plenty of lifts and the resort is easy to navigate.
Most lift assistants speak english and are very friendly. Would definitely recommend if you are looking to ski in the area.Written 12 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - The Eating AshmanTokyo, Japan247 contributionsNice place to check out the local produce and get a snack with the kids. We got a Kakigori (shaved ice and topping) and some local cheese and vegetables at the farmers Market. Free car parking and a nice view of Mount Yōtei.Written 14 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- LambShanksSingapore, Singapore199 contributionsGreat place for the kids to expend their energy and they have a variety of treetop courses to bouncy slides so kids of all ages have got something to do. We did not stay in Hilton but the drive is not long and our hotel provided shuttle to PURE too. They have beginner and advanced courses and when we were there in Jun 2018 they were building the expert course already!Written 21 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- rsrhkHong Kong, China92 contributionsIt was my first time EVER to go on a winter holiday (I’m normally a beach baby), and I decided to learn skiing in Niseko. My first 2 x half day lessons were in Hanazono, and tho the western instructors were perfectly good for other students in my Group lessons, I decided I needed more of a one-on-one touch and learn at my own pace. My friends who are frequent snowboarders told me to try out Moiwa Ski Resort. The vibe was so different. Service was so warm from Japanese only staff who knew me by my name, that real feeling of “Omotenashi”: Japanese hospitality. The cost in cheaper than Hanazono, and my ski Sensei Yuji, who’d been skiing for 26 years as well as a mountaineer in Niseko, was experienced, patient, comforting and positive! I wish I had taken my first lessons with him. The slopes are also not busy, it has a retro vibe to it with nice music playing, and quite cool to see the Japanese military doing their parallel ski training in the morning as you ride the chair lifts. I cannot wait for the next season to come and continue learning to ski at this resort. Thanks again to all the Moiwa ski resort team and Yuji!Written 29 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- UrbantravelerHong Kong, China42 contributionsEven if you’re not skiing, this is a wonderful activity for a 25 min round-trip ride. The views are spectacular and you’ll love the dramatic powdered ski slopes Niseko is famous for.Written 6 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Leslie TangSingapore, Singapore574 contributionsIs just a place to get spring water. The spring water around this area is tasty. Is just by the roadside of route 66. Free!!!Written 25 October 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- macylacejeanPhilippines261 contributionsWe arrived 5am to catch our 6am train ride. It was dark and cold. The area where I was hoping to get a train station stamp was closed (sad face). The waiting area was soooo cold I didnt know if I should sit or stand. I wish there was heater inside the wiating area. There is a clean toilet nearby. Train came in on time.Written 15 May 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ahhoneKuala Lumpur, Malaysia273 contributionsis a museum as mentioned, good collection, good architecture design, nice view environment, can see mount yotei, not crowded , got a cafe and ice cream cone, big open window view outside snowing, a moment to rest your mind. not suitable for rush tourist.Written 9 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ash LSingapore, Singapore302 contributionsDrove past this when driving from Sapporo to Niseko and you could still noticed this yellow bridge even in the winter storm. I guess you can appreciate the bridge more in spring or summer time.Written 12 January 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Adrian TMarlow, UK279 contributionsTake our advice and go earlier to avoid the bulk of the crowd, as many skiers will come in from Hirafu, Hanazono or Annapuri. It will be less crowded so there will not be any queues.
Large variety of restaurants and shops, which makes for a great experience if you for the day. I would recommend taking the bus back if you have loads of shopping.Written 12 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Ben HNiseko-cho, Japan5 contributionsWell just when I thought this season couldn’t get any better I went Heli skiing with HBC. Our guide was Sam who is superb and who has been coming to Japan for years- and we were lucky enough to have Clayton the owner in attendance so the stoke levels were guaranteed!! The safety briefings were thorough and reassuring and the runs were...well just all time!! I have done Heli in Alaska and Chile and though the mountain is not as big the feeling I got was every bit as good and it’s only 30 mins from central Hirafu/Niseko! Side note the pizza at lunch is the best in the area. All in all thank you and I’ll be backWritten 27 February 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- AmandaHong Kong, China23 contributionsDefinitely a very good ski school. My instructor Romi was very patient with me as I am very scared of skiing. She gave me the confidence to slowly ski down the hardest part of the family slope. My instructor would take videos of me each time and I can definitely see improvement.Written 10 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
