Petra is really an amazing site to see and a place that all travelers should try to go. The Treasury and Monastery are amazing (how did they carve those by hand!!) but there are so many other things to see as well, and the setting is beautiful. We were just amazed at the colours of the rock in the area.

We had two days (three nights) to stay here and that was good. I suppose you could fit most into one day but it would be exhausting. It was June and it was very hot, so we started at 6 am and ended by 1:00. The afternoon heat was intense. It was cooler in the morning and much less crowded - so many more people arrived around 10 am. The Treasury, of course, is beautiful and at 6:30 am you can have it to yourself. The Monastery is also amazing and the hike up the stairs is not hard as long as you are in reasonable shape. We wanted to do the “back-door” hike but that was closed this summer.

We also did the Al-Khubtha hike to the viewpoint over the Treasury (signs point the way) and the hike to the High Place of Sacrifice (which was the hardest, steepest one) as well as explored the main trail. We walked about 17 km each day. The walk back to the visitor centre is the worst – uphill and in the hot sun. There were many exhausted looking people coming back. (An inexpensive shuttle from the top of the siq to the visitor centre would be a very welcome addition, I’m sure.) Just be sure that if you are doing a lot of the hikes in the site that you save energy for that last walk. There are electric e-buggies available from the visitor centre to the Treasury and back for an additional cost. I had a broken bone in my heel and so the second day I used this to come back up to the top which saved a lot of walking – I think it was about 35JD for both directions and tickets could be bought at the ticket office or at the actual golf carts in cash if you only want to go one way.

We did not use a guide but read about Petra before we went and after. The signs that are on site are faded by the sun – it would be really nice if they could be replaced. The museum is new looking and had a lot of information which was interesting and helpful and so it is worth going to.

Practical stuff: Water and snacks (ice dream, chips, chocolate bars) are available on site. We did not try the restaurants. Washrooms were scattered around as well - the ones by the tombs/theatre were the cleanest. We wore sport sandals, and this was fine – hiking shoes are not necessary, just make sure you can walk a ton in whatever you wear. The heat was crazy and most tourists (male and female) were wearing shorts.

Just a note: although we loved Petra, we were dismayed at the number of Bedouin children in the area with no supervision or trying to sell things instead of being in school. We saw lots of boys seriously fighting (one tourist even tried to help a little guy who was being pummelled) and even throwing rocks at each other’s heads. The salespeople were relatively friendly and generally easily took no for an answer but, also, going early in the morning meant most of the booths were still closed and so we avoided the constant sales pressure (another great reason to go early).

This is a hike for the morning, less people and more enjoyable temperatures in the summer. We walked it. It looked sketchy to ride a donkey. When you get to the monastery, turn your back to it, look to the left and follow the signs to the view. It is a great photo opportunity. Purchase a cold beverage for 1 jod.

We hiked here today at about 7am. The lighting was perfect and not alot of people. If you want to go to the view point, go right away before the guides start hassling you.

Amazing time tunnel, this is the feeling I got passing through this main entrance to reach Al Khazneh of the magnificent Nabataean Petra, the walk is thrilling and never experienced before.

We hiked this on day 2 in Petra. It is a beautiful view from the top. We hiked the back way down. I highly recommend this trail. Do it in the morning and you will have the view all to yourself.

Original plan was to rent a car and travel throughout Jordan on our own (girls trip after Egypt). Wanted to add a visit to Jerusalem/Bethlehem last minute (as in day before we were arriving into Amman) and reached out to several guides for advice. Abdullah was by far the most prompt, helpful and engaging. As we discussed plans, his knowledge and expertise became more evident, and we ended up ditching the rental car altogether. He arranged everything - pickup to/from airport, guides and drivers to Amman, Jerash, Petra (EPIC!), Wadi Rum, Dead Sea … and navigating the tricky business of traveling to both Jerusalem and Palestine. Drivers waiting on each side of the border and clear communication/follow up made the entire trip seamless.

We stayed in STUNNING hotels in addition to a Bedouin cave (yes worth the experience!) all through his connections and recommendations. In addition to stays, he accompanied us on spectacular jaw dropping hikes (according to your comfort levels), had in depth knowledge (historical, pop culture, everything!) of each site we visited, arranged amazing meals, and customized the itinerary as he started to understand our personalities and adventurous spirit.

I’m a wanderlusty traveler (spanning luxury and hard core camping), visited over 40 countries and consider myself hard to impress. Abdullah crafted an extraordinary trip, memories we will cherish and remember forever.
If I could give Abdullah more stars, I would! He genuinely cares about your time, safety and creating an amazing experience.

Jordan took a piece of my heart ❤️ and I can’t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful and authentic 12-days holiday in Jordan thanks to Anne, Belal and our very great driver Yahya. We can't thank them enough !

Anne designed the trip and Belal managed the organization on site, being very reactive on the rare occasion it was needed. If you are looking to discover Jordan culture, people from the inside, do not hesitate !

We spent 2 days in Amman visiting the city, the desert castles, Bethanie, Ajlun and the marvelous site of Jerash, 1 days in Dana (3 hours trek), 2 in the amazing Petra including one night in a Nabataean cave where the host cook the national dish “Upside down”/Maqluba on the fire for us (delicious !!! Huge thanks to Ghassab and his cousin), 2 days and 2 nights in the incredible and mind-blowing Wadi Rum desert sleeping under the moon with bedouins (a huge thanks to Aïd, Madala and little Hali for this breathtaking moment), 1 full day in Aqaba (diving) and the last day at the beautiful Dead sea. We also had a dinner with a Jordanian family in Petra during which they cooked us the national dish, the mansaf! Yummy thanks to Mansour and his family.

We can’t find words to express how thankful we are for this unforgettable trip !!! Special thanks to Anne & Belal and more specifically to our incredible driver Yahya, who is such a safe and good driver (the best) so nice and caring !!!

My fiancée and I did this hike with Ghassab over a few days and it was an amazing experience. Ghassab was an excellent host, very accommodating, and well prepared throughout.

The hike itself was brilliant. Amazing desert views, going through Little Petra and Petra, which were both amazing. The best part was staying in a bedhoin cave that was around 3,000 years old, as well as sleeping under the stars.

Overall, I'd recommend this trip to anyone.

Massive thanks to Ghassab for putting this trip together.

I gave PNT my itinerary, after doing a lot of research on TA and other places online. We visited the Dead Sea, Petra, Dana Valley, Wadi Rum, Jerash, the Yarmouk Valley and Amman. I appreciated their flexibility and timely responsiveness.
Issa (our driver) made our trip to Jordan very memorable. He took care of us like we were family members for the week. He catered to our curiosity about the culture, history and way of life in Jordan with enthusiasm, and was very generous about information. We feel that we would not have had the same excellent experience had it been some one else. We are grateful to Issa for his hospitality and service in making out trip special.
The people of Jordan are warm, and the country is beautiful, would recommend a visit!

We booked an overnight trip to Petra as a cruise ship shore excursion. We paid a hefty deposit last year. Our cruise was cancelled and we cancelled this tour. Our refund was sent to us promptly. I plan to return in 2021 and will use this company.

Our 11-day group trip was a succession of highlights. From Amman, to Jerash, to the Dead Sea, Petra and Wadi Rum: Jordan has an incredible amount of beautiful culture, history and nature to offer. Our trip went without a hitch thanks to Go Jordan and, more specifically, thanks to our wonderful guide Rabia. He told us about his country with so much passion that, as a visitor, you can't help but follow along in that enthusiasm. Would definitely recommend!

Mahmoud is incredible. He made my journey to Jordan the best country I’ve ever been to, and this is my 19th country. He is so gentle, kind and passionate about his work. I initially thought I could plan this trip alone but I’m so glad I came to him. I was able to experience Jordan from the eyes of locals in multiple cities. He also takes incredible pics. If you visit Jordan, this is the person to ask for. I have 0 regrets. Thank you again Mahmoud.
