The otherworldly rock formations are amazing to walk through. This is not a short walk though so be prepared. The rock formations are photo worthy.

A massive climb up and down 950 uneven, challenging steps. A good excuse to catch a Bedouin led donkey! Worth the struggle to cast eyes upon the amazing carvings at the Monastery.

I had the most extraordinary 6-day horse riding trail that truly exceeded all expectations. The trail from Petra to the Wadi Rum desert gifted us with an unrivaled sense of freedom through breathtaking expansive desert landscapes.

Among the things that made this experience exceptional were, of course, the horses, each showcasing their unique personality and our group that formed a bond filled with laughter and shared happiness throughout the journey.

But most importantly, the entire team ensured we felt not just welcomed but cherished. Hashem and Mohamed served the most delicious and healthy food that I wish I could eat every day for the rest of my life, while Abood and Ahmed took wonderful care of the horses. Bleuenn ensured everyone's comfort and found the best sleeping spots under the night sky, where we counted shooting stars (so many that I lost count) and had enjoyable conversations. (No worries, comfortable tents with mattresses are also provided if that suits you more). Eid offered remarkably calm and caring guidance, provided exciting long canters, and made sure to perfectly blend horses, riders, team, and landscapes into an unforgettable journey through the desert.

These wonderful people made this journey exceptional, and as the sun set over the desert, we all gathered around the campfire, singing, dancing, and stargazing. It left me reflecting and wondering, what's better in life than days filled with horseback riding, savoring three perfect meals, being in the company of lovely people, and falling asleep under the stars? Though I realize I probably can't spend every day this way, six days were undeniably insufficient, and I'm already planning my return for more.

Patricia is the extraordinary host for this entire 10-day adventure, which also includes a trip to the UNESCO World Heritage Petra, floating in the Dead Sea, and visiting the mosaic city of Madaba. She's incredibly responsive and can help with any questions or requests, but more importantly, her deep love for horses makes her the perfect matchmaker between riders and their horses.

All elements combined, this makes this ride undoubtedly one of the best equestrian vacations in the world!

The path starts in front of the Royal Tombs and, after a rather difficult climb, going up hundreds of steps, it ends at the Treasury View Point. The view from here is exceptional! Also, on the route you have very beautiful views, including the theater.
The round-trip route is about 3.5 km long and is quite difficult, you need at least 2 hours to complete it round-trip.

A path that takes you to the highest place on the site. The route is difficult, there are hundreds of stairs to climb, but it is worth the effort. It is the least crowded trail, both with tourists and Bedouins.

This was just the best experience!
We were initially offered the horse ride free as part of our Petra ticket. I had NEVER ridden a horse so was nervous by my travel buddy loved horses so really wanted to try it.

The guys speak really good English and had such a good sense of humour, we really enjoyed their company. We were offered the mountain tour and do not regret taking it at all, it really was just the best experience!

The horses were so well behaved and both of the guides made us feel so comfortable that it wasn't long before I was holding the reins on my own. We were taken up the mountain on the horses and (with a small trek on foot at the end) through the most stunning areas to a vantage point overlooking the famous treasury. That was the first time since walking off the trail that I saw another tourist.

The guys were happy to take pics on my phone the whole way and were much better at it than I am so got to keep some great memories. They were brilliant fun, professional enough to make me feel comfortable on a horse! I never expected to have such an experience!
