- Reza SattarzadehMuscat, Oman2,221 contributionsArg of Karimkhan is located quite close to Vakil Bazaaar, the central traditional market in Shiraz. The citadel is reminiscent of the days when it held a defensive post as well as the seat for the governor of the city. The interior is within the architectural principles of Persian citadel dating back to 15th/16th centuries. The wall paintings outside and inside the citadel are also fine examples of classical Persian images of battle and valour.Written 16 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
