    Spectacular to see!
    Part of our organized tour , we visited this fountain- type geyser located i a geothermal area. It is beside the Hvita River , southwest part of Iceland, east of the capital Reykjavík . You walk on the pathway , and not too close, the smell of sulphur is definitely in the air. There is no set cycle to the stream geyser eruption. It can sprouts as high as 30 meters high in the air every few minutes.

    Not a huge place, but still worth to see natural wonder
    It is quite a unique natural landmark with imposing colours and beautiful surrounding landscapes. It is not huge though, more of a nice short walk up and around it.

    A good option for short visit to be honest, unless lava is flowing
    Nice one to tick off the list! There was not visible red hot lava but a good viewpoint regardless..pretty cool to visit an active volcano!

    Not for the faint of heart
    My wife didn't want to slog the bog so she stayed in the car. After dodging all the sheep droppings and finding the cave I wisely decided to not make the ascent. I was alone and falling 30 feet to the ground would have been bad. The whole area is beautiful around this area and I don't regret making the trek through the bog.

    Beautiful place
    We did not really hit the weather and the season for most birds was already passed. The anticipated walking loop was therefore not complete (too deep peeing for our walking shoes), so we had to return to our steps. Not really field for a swamp area.
    The bird sanctuary also showed itself as a beautiful open, but empty and bird-free grass plains.
    Formerly undoubtedly worth a detour in the season for the bird and nature lover.
