Fantastic tour. Bus was clean, modern, with wifi and USB ports at each seat.
    Tour guide was informative.
Each stop was fantastic with plenty of time to enjoy. Lots of stops, lots of waterfalls.
Had a stop early for snacks and a lunch stop. Long drive back with no breaks so buy extra snacks at the beginning.

We chose to do a private Golden Circle tour with Outventure because 1. the cost for 4 adults was not much more than 4 seats on the small tour 2. we wanted to cover as much ground as possible in one day (daylight 11am-4pm in January) 3. we wanted to make the most of our first trip as a family to Iceland 4. their customer service pre-trip was fabulous - they even replied on New Year's Day 5. they were a recommended provider by our hotel 6. we didn't feel confident driving ourselves in minus 10 and snow.
Our guide Asgeir collected us promptly at the hotel, at our chosen time of 10am so everyone had a lie in ahead of a whole day out, drove safely everywhere, and was a mine of historical and cultural information. I enjoyed asking questions about the areas we travelled through and learned a lot during the tour. We visited the National Park, the waterfall, and the Geysirs, all at an unhurried pace, and allowing for extra time at the gift shop he recommended. It was the small things that made a difference - we would not have chosen the lamb soup for lunch at Gullfoss cafe but he was right it was absolutely delicious, and he showed us the different areas at the Geysirs we would have missed, and having the description as an easy conversation as we walked around the National Park. He was particularly helpful to me as I trod very gingerly over the ice in some areas and we all went at my pace not a big group pace. There was not one question we had he could not answer.
I would recommend this tour if you want to travel in comfort, at your own speed, and with full access to a charming, warm guide, it was better than having a guide book. We felt well looked after from enquiring about the trip to being dropped back at our hotel at the end.

It is a lifetime experience you must do in your life. Our guide, Bjork was entertaining and informational. She is great behind the wheels taking us through the rough terrains. She clarified any questions or details we asked her about Iceland. We got crampoons and helmets (you will need it to keep your head in one piece as you crawl through caves) once we got down near the ice caves path. Don't forget to get your gloves, beanies and face scarves as it was windy and the snow pierced through our faces. The tour lasted for 3 hours and the only downside was that the ice caves didn't really look like the pictures or maybe it was my misconception of the ice caves. But they are still beautiful.

We actually booked two tours (including Northern Lights Hunting) with GspotIceland and they were both fantastic. Damian and Premi were both experienced, knowledgeable guides (and fun, too). Here are my top reasons why we liked Gspot:
Damian was responsive - answering my endless questions pretty quickly
They were on time for our scheduled pick-up
We felt like we were on personalized adventures and in good hands (safety first).

Plus, we had the added bonus surprise of receiving beautiful nighttime photos that neither one of us was equipped to take on our own.

I’d researched many tours available for our short trip to Iceland. I was very confident that this private tour offered by Andres of Mercury Grail was the one.
Andres communicated regularly before our trip and when we realised that the Secret Lagoon was to be closed for renovations on the day of our tour, he kindly found an alternative for us (which I suspect was much better!).
The sights we took in included the geysirs, Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss Waterfall, Kerid Crater, Friðheimar tomato farm and a sublime trip to Sky Lagoon.
Booking a private tour made so much sense. Increased flexibility with itinerary, undivided attention of Andres who answered so many questions, and importantly no rushing! Andres, from Slovenia originally, is an incredibly knowledgeable and very kind and obliging guide.
If you book one of his tours you’ll learn so much.
Thank you Andres for the best of days!

The geologist tour guide was fantastic at explaining the geology of the national park, geysers, waterfalls, and volcanic cones. She also knows the history of Iceland and the places we visited. Her patience with our physical condition (not the best for me) on the hikes was heart warming. Highly recommend this tour!

    Book. This. Tour.

Duka and Debora are magnificent. They are warm, friendly, intelligent, knowledgeable, and creative, and they made sure this tour was one of the highlights of our time in Iceland.

They picked us up from our hotel in Reykjavik in the morning around 10:00am and drove us out into the countryside. It was very easy to carry on a conversation with them while we were driving, and they aren't afraid to get to know you! They gave us information about themselves and their photography experience, and they made sure to find out what we were looking for out of the tour. We explained that we wanted to focus on the landscapes and the natural beauty of Iceland and they were more than happy to oblige. They took photos of us that really captured the incredible sights along the Golden Circle, including geothermal hot springs, several waterfalls, lakes, farms, mountains, and anywhere else we thought had a gorgeous view. Both my wife and I were amazed at how much they knew about each of the stops on the tour, and they were able to not only answer every question we had, but were able to offer unique facts and information that we hadn't heard or read anywhere else.

Our favourite stop was at Þingvellir National Park, where we were able to walk between the two continental plates. The photos that Duka and Debora captured there are some of our most precious items now.

On the practical side of the tour, they can understand and speak English very well, which made communication a breeze. Their car was comfortable and clean and they drove with great care for their passengers. They are also excellent at directing the photo subjects (us), to ensure that the photos are exactly what you're looking for. Lastly, Duka sent us some 'teaser' photos very soon after the tour so that we could get a preview, and also offers to let you pick even more photos to be edited.

I cannot say enough good things about Duka, Debora, and this tour. If you go to Iceland, I strongly urge you to consider this wonderful activity. Between the photos, the tour guides, and the scenery, you can't go wrong.

To Duka and Debora, thank you so much for the wonderful day. It remains one of our fondest memories of Iceland and it was a genuine privilege to meet you.

The Golden Circle tour is a great way to see some highlights of Iceland near Reykjavík. I have done the Golden Circle tour twice now on different trips to Iceland. A private tour with Walter is so much better than a big bus tour!

We had previously done the Golden Circle by bus (in 2020) using one of the big tour bus companies. Since the sights are the same, I expected the experience to be similar. However, I am amazed at how much better the private tour was for my family! Our group of 6 included 3 generations (teens, parents, grandparents). Doing the Golden Circle as a private group allowed us to see so much more than on the large bus tour. We were able to stop at several more locations on this tour with Walter. Having a private tour was great because our group was able to spend the amount of time at each stop along the way that matched our interests. With a group of 6 people, it can be hard for all of us to agree. However, we all enjoyed our time with Walter!

Walter is truly a professional! He is punctual, communicates well, and helped make our day very special. He has a passion for sharing Iceland with his guests. Walter also has a great sense of humor and I enjoyed talking to him along the journey.

We had such a great experience with Walter that I will definitely book tours with him on future trips to Iceland!

It was a miserable day with rain and half storm. The snow was melting and rotting fast and the going was tough, even for Sleipnir! We actually didn't make it all the way up to the glacier because of water under the snow, so we walked the last few hundred meters. We only walked to the edge of the glacier, because the walking and the weather was rough, but well worth it. I warmly recommend this tripp, if you've got the nerv for it... 😄 Both driver and guide were professionel and friendly.

This tour was absolutely amazing. Even better with Sergei as our tour guide. He is the most kind gentleman with a lot of knowledge about Iceland. From the past, present, and future, his knowledge of Iceland is vast. There was 5 of us total in our group. He took us to the most famous places that make up the Golden Circle all while talking about its deep history of the land. Just taking in the landscape of the beautiful country was breathtaking. We also added on the Blue Lagoon to the end of our trip, which was actually so much better because it was less crowded by the time we got there. Also, it was dark out, so it made it more fun for us because we were able to see all the stars in the sky. Very worth it. Any questions we had, Sergei had an answer. He also took great groups photos of us. He went above and beyond, I really recommend booking this if you have a group of 6 or less. It's so much more personable and private.

Did this day tour with Activity Iceland. They picked us up in a huge off road 4x4 super jeep.
Off we went for a few hours to to a glacier for snowmobiles.
Once kitted up off we went out into a pretty harsh and wild environment saw nothing as far as the eye could see all around. Stopped after 25/30 mins for photos then headed back.

Next up was Gullfoss Waterfall which was absolutely amazing to see icy water carving through the ice.

Geysir was very good again amazing to see all the snow and ice them an eruption of dyes and water.

All in al a great day.

Truly outstanding. We decided that a holiday to Iceland was a must this year and as my wife trawled the web to start building an itinerary she very quickly was inspired by what moonwalker offered. Bessi is a true professional with a very welcoming approach to our enquiries he helped build the best tour for our lust for adventure and within budget. Before we knew it the time had arrived and we embarking on our golden circle tour with a twist. We felt like vip’s being collected from our hotel and off towards the Langjjkull glacier in the comfort of the moonwalker 4WD , we enjoyed a spectacular sunrise on route. The expertise that Bessi has and knowledge of the terrain allows you to reach places other tours cannot get to on their own, this tour took a dynamic switch as the wether closed in soon we were on an unscheduled four wheel drive snowy adventure much like like those expeditions we have enjoyed watching on tv, the only difference is we were living the excitement.
Bessi’s back ground in mountain rescue meant this was an amazing added extra, my two boys 17 &13 loved it . We arrived at the glacier to undertake the snowmobiling early before the crowds it was epic and again we had the personal touch arranged by bessi, a private guide.
We later moved down the mountain to the gulfoss waterfall and a spot of lunch and the worlds best hot chocolate. From here to the strokkur geysir and then onto the thingvellir national park where bessi continued to impress with a geological insight to the area .
All in all bessi absolutely made this tour we all had a blast and he made us all feel welcome and like we had known him for years, he was very attentive to our needs and the tour felt relaxed and not Ian intense itinerary .
A fantastic experience and we have left with lifelong memories and experiences but mostly we ended the tour wanting more. We will be back to see bessi soon and he is truly an ambassador for Iceland a true gent and a true Viking,

Our guide, Adam from Try Iceland Tours was amazing.

Right away we noticed we forgot our water, he made a quick stop for us for snacks and water. Our first stop was the national park. It has gorgeous vistas, history, waterfalls, light hiking and a little climbing (take the crampons if winter). He drove us to multiple sites and would meet us at the next spot on the trail.

After the National park, we travelled to see the Geysers. They went off approximately every 3 minutes. He would let us have some time at each stop and let us know where to meet and where to go to the facilities.

We saw the gorgeous Gullfoss waterfall and then continued on to meet a few adorable Icelandic Horses.

We then had a wonderful dinner at a wonderful spot, Mika, where we had deep fried langoustines, I had lamb, my daughter had a pizza and I think my husband had filet. We treated Adam to dinner.

This place also had a chocolate factory and we were able to buy some delicious handmade chocolates.

Then after dinner, we let Adam do a little research while we ate dessert on the Northern Lights because you have to find them. We went far out, near a River a little off road, about 120km outside Reykjavík. It was a big night for solar activity and we were lucky to have that show! He took out his professional camera and tripod and took amazing photos of our family. He does photography for movies, so he is really good.

All in all, the experience was second to none. You will not be sorry if you book this tour. I know people do not usually tip in Europe, but we did tip Adam because this tour was really personal and it was beyond our expectations. You get a little taste of everything!
