- Natalia AGuangzhou, China2 contributionsNo.134 Jojo Tailor !
I was passing through Shanghai and came across the JoJo store on the Internet! Custom-made clothing turned out to be very relevant for me since I live in China and it is difficult to find clothes according to my parameters, especially so that the sleeve length matches 🤭 I trusted the reviews of my compatriots and purposefully came to a wonderful professional in his field! In one day they sewed a cashmere coat, a blouse, a jacket, even persuaded my husband to order shirts and a coat 😍, I will definitely come back and I advise everyone to contact Jojo: 1. Invaluable experience. 2. Work for results. 3. Reasonable prices. 4. Understanding of the client's wishes. 5. Open and honest responseWritten 30 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This is a special exhibition of a few hundred selected pieces from the time of the pharaohs, brought from the Cairo Museum on a government to government initiative. You need to book your ticket and timeslot online. Exhibits were very well presented, although the written descriptions of the exhibits in english were too brief. You can rent a audio machine to have a better explanation on the exhibits. Go on a weekday if possible as the weekend crowd can be overwhelming, although the visitors allowed in are controlled by the number of tickets sold. For non China citizens, you require your passport to enter the museum. Your online booking is linked to your passport details. Make sure you fill in your passport details correctly when doing your online booking, became if the information does not tally, you will not be allowed into the museum. Its worth the 2 to 3 hour time to visit this exhibition.Written 2 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jamie H-DPoole, UK2,285 contributionsA very interesting place to be, be prepared to have people pouncing on you as soon as you look or point at something… offer about 1/4 of what they are asking and gradual haggle upward, the most I would pay is half of what they ask, otherwise the price isn’t much different than at home in the UK. We got plenty of bargains and everything is still in great condition… we can’t even tell the difference between the copied shoes and the real ones.Written 23 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ronald LDenver, CO3,147 contributionsThis temple complex is noted for its jade Buddha statues imported from Myanmar. We were only expecting a couple of statues but this complex had a dozen different status including three reclined Buddhas and the Jade Buddha, which you were not allowed to photograph. The grounds are well maintained.Written 10 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KodoDrummerBuenos Aires, Argentina70,639 contributionsNot crowded due to the coronavirus crisis. Most visitors wore breathing masks. Nice collection of sealife. Enjoyed watching the penguins being fed. Amazing sharks, rays, upside-down catfish, puffer fish, dancing jellyfish, and more. Signage in Chinese and English.Written 5 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Peter Jackson1 contributionA lot of things changed during COVID-19 Pandemic, but not the extraordinary service provided by Heping Fandian's team! Heping Hotel has been my favorite hotel in China since 2018. I met Zoey, their talented and excellent front desk operator who helped me a lot during my stay. China is changing rapidly since last I was there. Zoey was kind and informative. She made my visit in China much more easier. The room she gave me have impeccable street view. It always makes me want to extend my stay.Written 27 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Monticha TOxford, OH9 contributionsThis place always amazes me. Shanghai is so big and impossible to comprehend how big the city is until you see the models on the whole floor.Written 12 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pioneer24959839917Tel Aviv, Israel5 contributionsAn interesting and enlightening exhibition that tells the little-known story of the tens of thousands of Jewish refugees who fled Germany and Austria on the eve of World War II and found refuge in Shanghai.
The exhibition describes, through many photos and authentic items, the background to this event and especially the life of the refugee community in terms of physical survival, daily life, cultural life, and more. Highly recommended!Written 25 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The entrance includes one of 2 showings (big bang, Jurassic) that you can choose to reserve and view. To see the two showings, you need to install the wechat app, install the associate mini-program and make reservations. The showing is in a dome theater, in which the seat will move during the movie for the effect. The visual quality of the showing is poor though.
The Shanghai Natural History Museum has quite some exhibits. Some of the highlights are: a big collection of fossils (including many dinosaur fossils, even moved some huge chunk of stone fossils from remote sites to the museum), a large gemstone collection.Written 11 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Boutique stores of international brands, culinary delights and also a premier cinema complex.
With its stunning glass facade glittering among the modernity that defines Lujiazui, the area where the mall is situated, it's a good place to shop for luxury brands, including Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermès, Gucci, and Cartier etc. It is also home to Apple’s second largest flagship store in China.Written 20 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are lots of exhibits you can walk in for free and see artists at work. The area also has many cafes and a few restaurants but none were overly appealing.Written 3 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - fire-tower3,480 contributionsThe metro is definitely a good way to get around Shanghai where you will skip the traffic jams if you travel by car. The carriages are clean and frequency of the trains are decent. Do note that security checks are done and bags are to be screened when utilised the subway. Use the metro card available within the Alipay app for a seamless travel (QR code).Written 26 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JVL-KNice, France19 contributionsI had a nice time at Sophia Chen on the second floor, she had real pearls for descents prices, they are not top quality but good enough. To give an idea of the prices I bought a long necklace for 100, simple earrings for 20 yen. You can get cheaper if you go for the standard colours like white. Just don’t forget to negotiate the price, actually they expect you to do so. My advice, don’t buy on the ground floor, that’s where all the pricy shops are, and the third floor is where the majority of tourists traps are. 😁Written 20 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
