Surprisingly this temple is nice, a good size and historical. Just walking distance from the Changshou metro station line 7. There’s a variety of statues of gods and goddesses to be admired snd prayed (if you are a Buddhist). There are 2 Jade buddhas, one reclining and one sitting upright. Both in different parts of the temple. The reclining buddha is in white jade and the sitting buddha is in green jade. Sitting buddha sits in an airconditioned room where no photography is allowed. Pretty cool visit!

We came to M50 on the weekend and it was not too busy. There are lots of exhibits you can walk in for free and see artists at work. The area also has many cafes and a few restaurants but none were overly appealing.

Walking around during the Chinese New year can be quite challenging so make sure you have plenty of time and water. It was a peaceful and happy day riding a boat with family on the lake!

Children’s Day visit- was totally packed, but luckily had bought tickets online so could skipped the lining (at least 1 hour they said).

You can see sharks, eels, rays, tropical fishes and educational environment for children. They have even some learning points to the young once about plastic in an ocean.

Only minus was the lack of elevators and ramps for the baby cart. Had to carry them up and down from the stairs. (good sports activity).

It’s a bit far away compared to Shanghai ocean aquarium by pearl tower in Pudong. However they are building a metro station next to the place ( ready 2020)

Ive been there one time and it will in my memory. With my lovely friends. The weather was awsome as well. During walking on bridge you could feel the breeza which touchs your face and move your hair. The coffee shop near the market was good as well.with its nice music.

I'd call this a must see of Shanghai if you like art. As far as I know, it's the only place where they allow graffiti and this is where you'll find the art galleries. I was very tempted to buy paintings more than a few times while I was there. There's a cafe nearby that had bacon pizza, grab a drink and wonder through the galleries.

No need to bring money unless you want to buy something; it's free to browse.

Very zen atmosphere. Monks chanting made it even more beautiful. Built in 1320!!! A wooden temple. Amazing! Lovely to enjoy the architecture, the bell walkway, the canal, the pagoda, prayers in all halls.... perfect to spend half a day here.

A great setting for those looking to spend a day. Can be alittle challenging if you desire to use map in English. However I'd happily bring the family knowing everyone can find something to enjoy and we'd all have so many meals choices.

Island6 is a collective artist run space located in M50 art district. It is a multi-cultural, multinational and multi-disciplinary group of artist making great, fun, provocative smartly done multimedia art with a focus on Asia. If you come to visit M50, this place is a must see.

Stuffs from some movies are in this museum. Is interesting and thematic. We enjoyed this visit. The place is located 30 minutes from the Daduhe metro station, which is the nearest station.

This was a lovely temple. The white jade Buddha was different. I especially liked the reclining one in one of the side rooms.

This was a most interesting experience but it is a cultural thing so we shouldn’t judge, even if we don’t like it. Most interesting were the huge insects like crickets but also the fighting crickets for sale. The owners happily let me photograph them.

There always seems to be something interesting on exhibit here. It's far and away the most consistently good gallery for new photography by local and foreign artists. The gallery offers exhibits of excellent new photographers as well as experienced photo-journalists, and surprisingly large collection of good catalogs. Gallery talks and opening events are always pleasant. Get on their email list so that you know about openings.

We visited Legoland Discovery Centre on Sunday afternoon, expecting to spend a few hours here. Tickets can be bought online via their wechat (170 RMB) or at the door (200 RMB) - they do not offer family tickets or discounted tickets for children, so a trip for two adults and one child came up to 600 RMB. For what it was, we thought it was a little over priced, or at least they should offer discounted tickets for families and children.

The centre itself is on the second floor of a mall called Parkside Plaza (nearest metro is Changfeng Rd line 13), and it is opposite a large park and aquarium. You can buy tickets for both the aquarium and Lego discovery to save money on tickets. The centre is very small but the Lego theme is consistent and well put together. There are three main attractions - a laser shooting game, a ride and a 4D cinema (with regular shows throughout the day).

All attractions were cute and my sister had a lot of fun riding them, there were also two indoor playgrounds, a Lego friends area and an area in which kids can build their own cars and test them out on tracks (lots of fun). There is also a cafe with a wide range of imported and local snacks and drinks.

Overall, our visit was quite sweet but much shorter than intended (we were only there for a couple of hours). We hope in the future they’ll be able to add more activities and add family friendly tickets!
