All was excellent. Yet, I bought a package of postcards, but only 4 out of 25 turned out to be real postcards. The rest were just photo prints. Check items carefully before purchasing.

A zoo is a zoo - it's a bit sad for the animals, especially the primates, but it's still good fun for kids and it serves an educational purpose. In contrast to some of the earlier reviews, I had a pretty good time on my visit. The trick is visiting during the week (which you, as a tourist, can, unlike the local kids), not on the weekend and definitely not on a national holiday. The park had quite a lot of elderly locals doing their exercises. The animals were not being harassed, and most of them had plenty of space and enjoying the peace of quiet. The highlight for us were the red pandas. Whereas the giant pandas looked pretty bored, the red pandas were active and quite cheeky. The primate nursery was also very cute. It was also very interesting to see some of the small mammals native to this corner of China. The drawback of visiting during the week was that there weren't any hot food options. Plan your meals around your visit, or pack a picnic.

Be prepared for being hassled almost every stop but fun. Be prepared to haggle for your purchases but 100s of shops indoors provide opportunities including tailoring, electronics. Jewelry etc. Most speak good enough English. I have gone here dozens of times over the years. Take Green line to Science Center.

We took the metro to Zhongshan Park station and took a walk around this local park. Most of the people here were locals doing exercises and dancing. Some places had nice flowers and it was pleasant to walk around for an hour or more.

Very convenient. Take the metro to Zongshan Park Line 2, 3 or 4. Take Exit 2 and you will find yourself inside the mall. Lots of restaurants on every floor, especially the top 3, mostly Chinese. Carrefour is here as well. Lots of great shopping brands are here too.

Business district, futuristic buliding, with some restaurants on the ground floors, reachable from outside (no need entering). Also cinema in the basement. Nice to visit if you are in Novotel Hongquiao hotel.

Stayed close to the Carrefour and found the store had all we needed, from a great food supermarket to a shop to buy all sorts of things, including very small batteries.
Has a good selection of local and imported wines.
Large store easy to find on Changning Road.

We spent an interesting morning exploring the 100's of stalls and shops in the Pearl City Market during our last visit to Shanghai. With the markets endless supply of shops, there was something for everyone's taste from luxury/expensive to inexpensive and common-place. Plus there were always several shops offering the same wares which gave one plenty of opportunity to bargain and get a better deal. I don't think that there was anyone in our group that left empty handed at the end of our visit to the Pearl City Market.

Wu Kang Mansion is a great photo opportunity, especially now that the overhead lines are gone, except the tram lines. It’s easy to find, just look for all the photographers - they stand on every corner.

    Great small concert event arena/pub!
    Nice staff and good music.
Difficult to find though, and I’d like to see more beer samples on the menu.

Pros: Cost Free (spent 10 Yuan for optional play area). Several exhibits plus a kids reading area.

Cons: Needs an update or refresh. There was not a lot that kept my 2-1/2 year old entertained. Not even close to any of the Children's Museums in the US.

There were a lot of great sculptures in this park and we enjoyed going. If you have extra time, it's worth a trip but not a must see if you only have a few days. You can check out all the sculptures in maybe a half hour. There was one gallery open (the rest were closed, maybe because it was Monday and we also visited on May holiday, so who knows. Regardless, the outdoor sculptures were fun). There were some small coffee shops and a place for a picnic if you want on the grounds. We took Subway Line 10 (and 4 I believe) to Hongqiao Road Station, then use exit #4 (I used google maps), make a left when you get out of the subway and it is just ahead on your left. This Sculpture park is just one subway stop away from: "Shanghai Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling (Song Qingling Guju)" and we went there next. Also worth a visit, especially if you like history.
