    Wild animal safari
    Very nice clean park that's a joy to visit by all members of the family. Almost all animals co-exist in harmony.

    This is not a zoo, it is more interactive whereby they have different feeding stations for different animals like flamingos, kangaroos, zebras, elephants.

    They have a bus ride (you can choose covered bus or safari style to go through the different habitat.

    They also have a circus show running, and different boat rides as well.

    The restaurants may not be fully equipped to cater to families with picky children.

    Overall a wonderful chance to spend a nice sunny day.

    A review of Hengsha rather than the wetlands
    I rode around Hengsha: a lovely clean place, a few things to see - i actually didn't get to the wetlands. I caught a passenger ferry from Wusong (bicycles allowed if simply packed up and in a large bag, and there are not many of you in the group - they will be carried outside on the deck - there is no storage space - the ferry is like a bus - bicycle carriage is at the mercy of the staff).

    There is little traffic on Hengsh, nice roads for cycling, the long pier at the southeast corner is now closed to traffic.

    There are bikes to hire on the left as you exit the port. Its doable in one day if you take the first ferry over (about 8 am) and the last one back (about 4 pm)

    A peaceful nature park in Pudong
    I can recommend this little nature reserve for those in Shanghai needing some peace, quiet and greenery. It is relatively narrow but provides a good half hour walk without cars buzzing along. Most of the park pathways overlook the meandering Huangpu River. There are a mix of stone pebble trails, pavement, wood steps and wooden boards so walking is by far the best option. I had couple of children with manual scooters and they needed a bit of carrying from time to time, but can be used too. It is a very tranquil park in a city that is mostly a concrete and car jungle. There were no crowds during a normal weekday. Recommend packing your own water and snacks, the little cafe in the park was not open during the week. It's great for children who love running around and exploring.

    Comfortable nature preserve.
    Family orientated. Easily accessible. We went on a weekday, relatively quiet. The museum was closed, my understanding the museum is temporally closed. Free entry. Many places to sit & enjoy nature. A sandy beach for the children to play in. No swimming. Walking paths are clearly marked & signs are English as well as Chinese. Nice for a morning or afternoon walk. Suspect the weekends & holidays maybe rather busy. Length of your visit will depend on you & your plans. We could see people spending the better part of day here, we were about 3 hours. The park was very clean.
