The view you see is during the cruise is amazing. However to get this view we had to upgrade to the VIP tickets on the boat, which puts you at the front of the boat. That gives unobstructed views. Important to note though that people are allowed to smoke on the boat and they do. The volume of people pushing in the lines to get to the boat, on the stairs and at the top of the boat was troubling to us, noting this might not be an issue for others. We think it is a must do whilst in Shanghai and upgrading to the VIP is important if you want space, an outside view and not be pushed as much.

Despite Labour Day crowds encouraged by perfect weather this park turned out to be a real gem. It’s very beautiful and peaceful but with activities for families. It looked like a perfect place for a family or friends picnic. A 20 minute taxi ride from Century Park area in Yangpu district next to Huangpu river. This is a very old and well established park with wonderful trees and flowers and also food for birds. RMB 15 entrance fee. Suggest you bring your own food although the food stall by South Gate was surprisingly tasty. You could easily spend several hours here chilling out

Don’t miss this attraction . Parking is limited . The view is spectacular along the river . The fresh flower wall makes a great back drop . The buildings on the west side has all of the tallest buildings .

A lot more quiet than a lot of gardens. There were early blooms of plum and cherry blossoms here now. There’s a huge bamboo forest here. Entrance fee was 12 Yuan. Quite a lot to see and photograph.

Not much to see except a perfectly rounded lake about two hours away from Shanghai center. Was peaceful with very few people. Some blooming flowers added some color.

I wish i had more time to wander around this little forest. It feels like the hustle and bustle of the city was far, far, far away.

Spotted this park on a map when walking to M50 and took a turn there. It was clearly once part of the industrial area of shanghai as there are the remains of a brewery here. It’s also a new park and part of the greening of the city as well as being a water pump house and rain water storage spot.

The park is calming and a good spot to watch locals at play and rest - good as park of a walking route including M50 and Jade Buddha Temple

A wonderful view, especially to experience the sunset, it's a magical place where in Summer there are many water sports available to do. It's a good place to spend the whole day, try to go with time planned to enjoy the scenery without any rush.

This place will open soon, so I wasn't able to find their phone number yet.

Anyway, I'm glad China is able to experience the magic!
