Really enjoyed going up early around 9am and enjoying the views on the 2 levels. Great light show highlighting the future of Shanghai.
We did this tower as well and Shanghai Tower. Enjoyed them both and glad I did them both.
    100% recommend

A lot of things changed during COVID-19 Pandemic, but not the extraordinary service provided by Heping Fandian's team! Heping Hotel has been my favorite hotel in China since 2018. I met Zoey, their talented and excellent front desk operator who helped me a lot during my stay. China is changing rapidly since last I was there. Zoey was kind and informative. She made my visit in China much more easier. The room she gave me have impeccable street view. It always makes me want to extend my stay.

I recently visited the Ancient Town at Zhujiajiao as a solo traveler, and I had a great time! The town is absolutely beautiful, with its narrow streets, traditional Chinese architecture, and canals. I really enjoyed exploring the town and learning about its history.

The only downside was that it was quite crowded, especially on weekends. This made it difficult to get around at times, and it was also hard to find a quiet spot to sit and relax. However, the crowds didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of the visit.

Overall, I would definitely recommend visiting the Ancient Town at Zhujiajiao. It's a great place to spend a day exploring and learning about Chinese culture. Just be sure to go during the week if you want to avoid the crowds.

    Tips:

    1. Visit during the week to avoid the crowds.
    2. Wear comfortable shoes, as you'll be doing a lot of walking.
    3. Bring a camera to capture all the beautiful sights.
    4. Be sure to try some of the local food.

I enjoyed doing some last-minute souvenir shopping in Tianzifang. It's a nice little area with all the usual Chinese souvenirs on offer (tea, silk, jade, pottery, etc). Worth popping by. Go early, it'll be quieter.

Surprisingly this temple is nice, a good size and historical. Just walking distance from the Changshou metro station line 7. There’s a variety of statues of gods and goddesses to be admired snd prayed (if you are a Buddhist). There are 2 Jade buddhas, one reclining and one sitting upright. Both in different parts of the temple. The reclining buddha is in white jade and the sitting buddha is in green jade. Sitting buddha sits in an airconditioned room where no photography is allowed. Pretty cool visit!

I stayed in the Hyatt so was able to enjoy both the inside and outer view. The architecture is what sets the building apart, combining oriental details with art deco touches. For me it is the most impressive of the 3 adjacent towers. Inside it is a sea of marble and gilt. The. Jew from the hotel reception on 54 is possibly best as there are large picture windows. If you go to the bar on 89 it’s less clear and some of the views are obstructed.
I’m or sure the skywalk is currently available as it was never mentioned, not that I would contemplate it for 1 second!

This square is part of the crossroads of the city. Gardens, a place to relax, museums in the area, courts to play ball, and more. A fun place to relax and take a breather and people watch.

The largest slaughterhouse in Shanghai back in the 1930s. Today it is a shopping complex with boutiques, restaurants, dance studios, etc. If it is completely occupied, it would be a place to chill. Now I believe people go there for photography as the structure of this building is unique and original. Take Line 4 to Hailun station. Exit 2 into Hailun Road then turn right into Shajing Rd. This interesting building will be right in front of you!

We went to the afternoon circus for children here. Was very impressive! Acrobats, animal trainers, and clowns. The show was 2 hrs long. Good value! There is social distancing in place.

We did not go in for tea. Was just outside the tea house admiring its menu and was really walking through while enjoying the lanterns. Not really interested in expensive tea at that time!!! However, this tea house looks really charming and its entrance is quite welcoming with an array of tea cups and tea sets to be admired and purchased.

Next door to the Customs House is the former HSBC Bank building. Many may not be aware that HSBC stands for the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank. Established in 1864 in Hong Kong and then 1865 in Shanghai it is by far the most important bank in this part of the world and housed in its own heritage building. Interesting side note, HSBC is actually the issuer of actual currency in Hong Kong.

Wu Kang Mansion is a great photo opportunity, especially now that the overhead lines are gone, except the tram lines. It’s easy to find, just look for all the photographers - they stand on every corner.

Now a boutique hotel but very welcoming when we popped in to look at the architecture. We sat in the conservatory and enjoyed a cold drink and plate of fruit before walking around the garden. A vista of another era.

Lovely old style house. Worth the 20kuai entry fee. Plenty of English, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese explanations. Enter through the house, then go into a large garden with explanations for why the owner had built each piece of the structures, pavilions, etc. lovely quiet garden when I went. Loved the explanations of the buildings, and the attention to detail the owner had put into it. Very picturesque, natural, and a great look into a Chinese old style house.

Chenghuanmiao is a temple for a landmark area for the older time of shanghai. and the very famous dumpling shop just locate within 100m and which has a long queue always in particular the ground floor, the higher the floor the more expensive and better quality. So the temple is just a landmark place for me to locate the dumpling shop and you may take a look and say hi to this temple when goes by
