This shopping experience was the best part of my trip to Shanghai. Not knowing the city well enough to go off on my own I booked this shopping day with Sunny and it was so worth it. I highly recommend this shopping experience! Thank you Sunny and I hope to see you on my next trip to Shanghai ❤️😘

I often travel to China for business, but as a tourist, I have no idea where to get pearls or have a suit made as the "locals' do. I am not one much for shopping, and I especially do not like to bargain.

Alison, on Jenny's China Tours, was so awesome! She now only took me to the “local” spots, she helped explain how to “shop” like a local. She wasn’t just a tour guide; she had a wealth of understanding about fabrics, sewing styles and detailing. Alison amazed me with her knowledge about different pearls and quality.

It was a great day. I would recommend Alison if you know what you want, but just don’t know where or how to find it in Shanghai.

Spent a great half-day in Shanghai with tour guide Cindy from Shanghai Advisor on a "Food & Fabric" tour. The day started with a stop for warm soy milk, sounds questionable, but was really delicious. Later we had a variety of dumplings at a little local shop and later enjoyed a tea ceremony. Because two of our group love to sew, Cindy included a couple of stops to various fabric stores. She had arranged for our group to be picked up at our hotel and was very helpful in locating a taxi at the end of the tour to go to our next destinations.
We enjoyed our time with Cindy so much that we booked a tour the next day to visit the Watertowns, we we also very much enjoyed.

My wife and I recently took a Chinese cooking class with this amazing chef, and it was fantastic! As Germans, our experience with Chinese food was mostly limited to restaurants or takeout, but this class allowed us to prepare traditional Chinese dishes ourselves—and we loved it!

Rita was amazing! She had lots of information about Shanghai history and local knowledge. She tailored the tour to our interests and took us to a silk factory which was fascinating.
I definitely recommend Rita as your guide if you are a first timer in Shanghai.

We started in the Oriental Pearl museum which gave us lots of history of the city, then to the Jade Buddha temple which was so peaceful. Then we went for a delicious lunch and a wander round the old town market. Then we went to the French concession which felt like a film set with lovely old streets and shops. Then to the silk factory, and a walk down The Bund.

A great day, well worth it.

Today we had two focuses…the Zhujiajiao Water Town and Shanghai Local Food...we opted to change the shopping for local food and had the experience of a lifetime. We were picked up at our hotel right on time by our host Cathy and our professional driver. We start by exploring the ancient Qing dynasty water town of Zhujiajiao. It was established about 1,700 years ago. It features 36 stone bridges as numerous rivers line Zhujiajiao. Many ancient buildings still line the riverbanks with shops nestled into the historic buildings. We walked the stone streets lined with bustling food vendors and all forms of merchandise. We took a gondola ride along the canals as this was a perfect way to experience how local residents traveled for hundreds of years. We several local foods from the many shops including sticky rice dumpling (zong zi) and steamed pork wrapped in bamboo leaves (zha rou) as well as traditional stinky tofu. We then visited the City God Temple which originated as the Jinshan God Temple and was converted into a City God Temple in 1403, during the Yongle era of the Ming dynasty. During the Qing Dynasty, the temple grew, and its popularity led many businesses being set up in the area, turning the surrounding streets into a busy marketplace. During the Cultural Revolution, the temple was closed down and for many years, the main hall was used as a jewelry shop. We then set out to Old Shanghai and the Yuyuan Garden. This garden dates back to 1559 during the Ming Dynasty. A classic Chinese Garden rich in history…halls, statues, rock structures, water features as well as the famous Grand Rockery and Exquisite Jade Rocks. Then the Old City Temple of Shanghai and some time for Shanghai Street Food…Shanghai Xiaolongbao, fried dumplings, Xinjiang skewers, and Shanghai noodles. Then the Jade Buddha Temple which was founded in 1882 with two jade Buddha statues imported to Shanghai from Burma by sea. These were a sitting Buddha (1.95 meters tall, 3 tons), and a smaller reclining Buddha representing the Buddha's death. The temple now contains a much larger reclining Buddha made of marble, donated from Singapore. Before calling it a day we walked the Bund which is an area along the Huangpu River separating new Shanghai from the old. An absolutely packed day with Cathy but we were incredibly relaxed. The experience was incredible from start (booking) to finish. Highly recommend!!

If you ever get a chance to use this young lady..... she is your girl. We ended up in a formal business meeting when it was to be casual. She did not miss a best. We will be back and will use her again. Truly a professional and great attention to detail. Our suppliers took us for a late lunch. Many restaurants closed, we found 1, great place. They did not have beer.....Queeny excused her self and return 10 min later with 2 ice cold beer. She is the real deal. Book her with 200% confidence
