Flew into Shanghai on a Sunday night with some coworkers for a meeting Monday morning and signed us up for the Lost Plate tour. I'd previously been on the Lost Plate food tour in Guangzhou and was looking forward to the Shanghai version. I was not disappointed! The food was, of course, amazing, but what really made it was our tour guide Emma. She was knowledgable not only about the food and it's history, but also the history of the French Concession and how the community still values the food experience. I've been on food tours around the world, and have found that the guide makes or breaks them. Emma definitely made this one worth every penny!
