It was so good to have an informative guide who made sure to share his love of local cuisine and history.

He picked us from our hotel in the Shanghai city centre nearby the Bund and took us to various locations in Shanghai, including an easter egg at the end that I will not spoil in this review.
He is very knowledgeable about Shanghai and Chinese culture and society, as well as the background of foreign visitors and their perceptions about the country. We were never bored with him and he always went the extra mile to show us the true beating heart of the city's nightlife - including getting baijiu from a local shop in a working class neighbourhood.
You will leave this tour feeling like you got a real taste of Shanghai, especially for us who were visiting first time for business. I highly recommend it, even if you end up being the only person (it was only my sister and I for the tour we booked).
