First time visiting Shanghai, China and book a day trip with Jenny Shanghai Tours. Their services were impressive. We were shown around and ensuring our tour is memorable. Despite a minor mistake, Jenny, Grace and Tao were wonderful and very helpful as well as informative. As we were under the weather due to the heat, we aren't able to book the trip to Suzhou with them on the weekends. We would definitely return with a different tour next.

Fantastic tour. Highly recommend. This was a wonderful way to spend our first night in Shanghai. Jim created a great experience, the food was fantastic and Jim balanced great food with cultural experiences. It was hard to pick a favourite. The tea ceremony was especially interesting. If you come to Shanghai this is a must do!

Awesome way to kick off the first morning of my Shanghai trip! Angela was our host and she was super fun and knowledgeable on all the cuisine and Shanghai culture / history in general! Learned a lot and had great conversations, all while enjoying delicious food and coffee. Highly recommend!

We had such a good time making soup dumplings and spring rolls with Mike. He is genuinely happy to teach his craft to everybody. I went with my son and his friend and we had varying levels of skill. Mike was patient and helpful to everybody. It was fun to learn how to make the soup dumplings and now that we know the secret, if something happens to us you know why!!! Lol. Help support Mike and his small business!!!

I really appreciate that the company continued on with the tour despite having only 1 person (me) signed up for it. Was really looking forward to this tour during my trip to Shanghai.

I had a really hearty breakfast on the tour as we sampled alot of the food. Jade was a great guide. She brought me around the French Concession area and explained the of interesting facts about the area. Really enjoyed the tour!

I really enjoyed the tour because of the diversity of food and the conversation with the guides and other guest. Definitely recommend it and wish I would have done the same tour in Beijing!

From the beginning, both Sophia and Mia were excellent guides. I was greeted at the pickup point and accompanied to the Watertown without any hassles. I was amazed by the deep knowledge of the guides and enjoyed learning about the 36 bridges, gardens, temple and local culture. Mia and Sophia had wonderful friendly natures and a great sense of humour which made things even better. The bites and sips of local foods were tasty with lots of variation for everyone’s taste. The boat ride and attractions were all handled seamlessly by the guides and I couldn’t imagine a better organized day out and, as a non Chinese speaker, the girls’ English was excellent.

This is a great way to get a quick introduction to the food culture of Shanghai. Our group of six, guided by Emma, moved quickly and ably from one eatery in the French concession to another. The restaurants were prepared for us, so we did not have to wait for the food for any long time. There was never more than five or 10 minutes of walking between, and we had a sampling of great appetizers, dumplings, soup, mains, beer, and dessert. There was a good variety of flavors and ingredients and it was fun to meet the other tourists as well. I recommend it highly.

Very nice and knowledgeable guide. Was interesting to walk with her through old town, she explained its history. Pleasure to chat with her, she also gave hints what else to do during my stay. Tea Zeremonie have an impression what it is and background about the different tea varieties and how they taste.

Jim is an excellent host. He speaks great english and immediately built a level of comfort and rapport with us. He picked us from our hotel in the Shanghai city centre nearby the Bund and took us to various locations in Shanghai, including an easter egg at the end that I will not spoil in this review.
He is very knowledgeable about Shanghai and Chinese culture and society, as well as the background of foreign visitors and their perceptions about the country. We were never bored with him and he always went the extra mile to show us the true beating heart of the city's nightlife - including getting baijiu from a local shop in a working class neighbourhood.

You will leave this tour feeling like you got a real taste of Shanghai, especially for us who were visiting first time for business. I highly recommend it, even if you end up being the only person (it was only my sister and I for the tour we booked). It will be a fantastic night.
